  1. @toe_head2001 I have done this quite often to see what I can do with the plugin. Now these markers have disappeared, I guess I pressed a button with delete during the download..
  2. Hi @Reptillian I have only described my problem and since paint.net with gmic is working fine with me again - as you can see on the new stylize picture, I am very, very satisfied, because paint.net is the platform for me, on which I totaly like to work. I deleted Krita, because I only needed it for picture frames in gmic, because the picture frames are not displayed in paint.net (only half of the picture). Now I downloaded Gimp again and it works really well with gmic as well. Your suggestions for writing your own filters are good and I think it's great that you can also enter them in gmic. (By the way, I like to use the filters from "Testing"). The problem with me is simple: "I'm just a user" and never really understood what has to happens in a program for it to really work, despite my many hours (120) to learn exactly these things. I have to acquire everything very laboriously and do it even if I can't do it any other way. However, in my spare time I want to do more things than explore bits and bytes. I am rather the creative type. @DrewDale I just created another stylize picture in paint.net and it worked. I am very happy about that. I wish you that it will work for you again soon.
  3. I don't dare to send a success message anymore, because who knows what will happen in the next hour with the little ghost? Obviously a new Paint.net version was installed incl. gmic.!? Now I just took two pictures and let them edit with stylize. Not very nice but it worked - happy!
  4. Hi @HyReZ, I mean the updates of paint.net will be done automatically. I also had trouble with Krita today, so I thought it was my PC. I have uninstalled Krita and deleted all small parts. Then all gmic programs. Then I installed Gimp. The new gmic is already installed there. I don't really like GIMP, but I tried gmic there and it worked great. Even stylize worked very well. But I want to be careful, maybe the little ghost of destruction will be back. I will leave out gmic at paint.net for now. Krita stays outside and I will use gmic over Gimp. Let's have a look. I am happy that the program works well for you.
  5. Sorry, me again, another crash of paint.net initiated by gmic, irritated me, because tonight everything was fine, I could do stylize without problems, also I could apply colors etc. on the pictures. Today most colors etc. don't work anymore. It looks like this is the latest version of gmic I downloaded from paint.net? Could that be? My question should please not be seen as a myth, only as a question from someone who no longer understands what worked so well tonight (I thought I downloaded the previous version of gmic from paint.net) is no longer possible. The behavior of paint.net today is the same as yesterday when gmic edited stylice and wanted to move to paint.net - or whatever, paint.net crashed. Does anyone know any advice?
  6. @toe_head2001 It works, I downloaded the previous version of gmic from paint.net again and I can edit all pictures, even Stylize works again in Paint.Net. Krita is running the whole new version. I think the new version is super great, but a working Paint.Net is more valuable for me. :-)))))
  7. Hi @HyReZ II have the Broswer only one day and I have problems, which can have happened however also by the completely new g'mic. You are lucky :-))))) and I have to come with the fire engine, dispose of the new gmic and revive the old one - I hope it works!
  8. Hi @toe_head2001 Thanks for your answer! (1) Z. B. in this thread Seerose on 14.9 and 29.9.18. There are still more reports on these pages. The Broswer I had until yesterday had no problems with gmic. Only today the page said goodbye without a hint. I only noticed it when I quit Stylize and had to go back to paint.net (normal until yesterday was that gmic automatically went back topaint.net when stylize was quit. Maybe this browser doesn't like gmic :-))) I can't say anything else, because I didn't get a message about the crashes. What can I do? I don't know. I have no idea how to solve such a problem. Maybe upload the old gmic insurance again and delete the new version. Maybe it will work, even if it wouldn't be very positive. I haven't read yet that other forum participants with gmic crashed at paint.net. So probably a new problem - with gmic? or with me :-))))))) (2) I did some stylize via paint.net. After finishing in gmic, I had to go back to paint.net myself, where I found a hint to the crash of paint.net instead of the pictures merged with stylize. I'm afraid it's the plugin Stylize, Currently gmic is no longer working in paint.net. No matter what I click, nothing moves. I will uninstall it and reload the old version. Greetings from Hamburg
  9. Only yesterday I downloaded the plugin Broswer 1.3.0.2 and since crashed Paint.net. (I read and waited months ago about the problems with Broswer 1.3.0.2 in the hope that the problem was solved. I'll add two crash reports as an attachment . Thanks in advance for your help :-)))))) Application paint.net v4.1.5 (Final 4.105.6913.325) Build Date Mittwoch, 5. 10. What a great program. I've been sitting here for hours looking at how colors, shapes, etc. can be changed. The results are just great for me, because I can't determine light and shadow, color changes or brightness very well. Since you can display the difference in Before and After, I will certainly get good support for special images. I feel good
  11. Dear @Seerose, thank you for your reaction. Yes, Paris is particularly beautiful in some places. I have reworked this picture constellation from a template for Gimp. Paris in the snow and the colours of Paul Klee, whom I particularly like, make this picture somehow magical. Have a nice evening!
  12. Actually I wanted to create this picture in GIMP, but had to realize that it is simply too complicated. Since I don't like Gimp very much anyway, since I'll never learn the many possibilities, I'll delete this program from my desktop again. I take Krita for the frames, because they don't work in Paint.net with stylize. This is a fine compromise for me! The picture was created with an enchanting picture from Paris and a Klee picture. I think the mixture is very nice!
  13. @lynxster4 I have the latest version of Gยดmic on all programs. I press the refresh button at regular intervals. Also yesterday I clicked on this small button. Stylize was and remained disappeared, also "Test". I shut down my PC without success. When I returned to the PC after hours, stylize and "Test" were there again as if by magic. ๐Ÿ˜ƒI am very happy about it! Thanks for the answers. Greetings from Hamburg
  14. @G'MIC I miss Stylize in the latest revised version of G'mic Hello David Tschumperlรฉ Since I haven't found another way to ask where Stylize stayed in the last version of G'mic, I try to get an answer in paint.net. Neither in Gimp or in Krita and also not on Paint.net is to be found under Artistic Stylize. It's just gone, this great plugin with which you can conjure up such wonderful pictures. The thought that this part is no longer there frustrates me without end. I would be happy if Stylize would be made available again. Greetings from Hamburg
  15. @jacrow The great thing about the help here in Paint.net is that you can be unknowing without being considered stupid - and that makes it a lot easier to ask for help๐Ÿ˜…
  16. @ScrapbookWithPDN Thank you for your words. I am really happy that thanks to Pixey's video I understood how it works. The Spanish Water Dog (Perro ) exists since around 80-90 years, and is cultured in Spain. Then the other is the Portuguese Water Dog (Obama had one of those). The dog named by you (Golden-Doodle ) is, as far as I know, bred in Europe in the east and is a quite young breed. If you place a Perro next to one ( Golden-Doodle) then you can easily see the difference between the two breeds. I chose the Perro because of his great, lovable qualities. He is not a hunter but a keeper, he is not a biter but he is self-confident enough to guard a herd. He bows a bell about barkers, they are not interesting for him. For me it was the absolute stroke of luck, because I am not very consistent in the education. This little guy has achieved everything with me through patience and charm. We are together now for 14 years and 5 months and I have not regretted one day to have decided for him. Have a nice day/evening and greetings from Hamburg
  17. This is my best friend I've ever had - Nico, a Perro de Aqua Espaniol :-))))
  18. @G'MIC Welcome to Paint.net and thanks for the great g'mic.
  19. @Pixey It works, I can do it, I have tried several different motifs and it really works - very easily and very quickly. You just have to know the way. Many thanks to you dear Pixey.
  20. Dear @Pixey, the video is wonderful; everything super good to follow. It can only work that way. ๐Ÿ˜Š Thank you very much for your effort. Now I can sleep very well tonight
  21. Pixey wrote:HyRaZ I was worried about that, but I lack the expertise on how to speed up only a portion of a video. I will look into it and will replace the original when I discover how to ------------------------- @Pixey Honestly, for me as a "seeker of a solution", the simple, simple form is particularly well suited. If it is too fast for me - I have to look with my eyes very concentrated on the cursor, - I have to slow down the video anyway, so that I can read everything correctly. For me, the video is good as it is.
  22. Hi @ScrapbookWithPDN, thank you very much for your detailed description, which can surely be very helpful also for other users. My problem wasn't gmic, but especially the connection of the two pictures in Paint and that's how these pictures are brought to Gmic to get a final picture. I somehow managed to get three final images with a time expenditure of many hours :-))))))) without really knowing what I was doing there. Pixey showed very clearly in her Viedo why I could only fail. I will download that video, translate it into my language and then work step by step and write down the paths to the result image. Greetings
  23. Hi @null54, slowly the great knowledge about me comes, bit by bit I understand more that I knew it can't work like this, but I didn't know how it really should work. Probably the language barrier comes to the pure application (without any real background what really happens there). A bad mix. Thank you for your patience and willingness to help anyway, even if sometimes you can only shake your head a little :-))))))
  24. Dear @Pixey, in German we say "there will be a shoe out of it" Thank you for your effort and therefore for your help. So it makes sense for me. I will write down the steps as you have given them and if everything works out, I will include them in my advanced PdF so that I can look them up again and again. Greetings from Hamburg
  25. Pixey wrote @lifeday I am testing the Stylize filter and it is working for me. I followed null54's advice but it is very, very, very slow to render Hello, dear @Pixey, I also followed the instructions from null54's. It is clear and concise. Only the instruction: 4) Execute G'mic and change e.g. picture 1 (Auto) from the lower level to the upper level. I assume that null54 meant to swap the layers on Paint.net. Here, however, my problem begins: Once I have started G'mic, I can no longer perform any actions in Paint.net. I don't know how I managed to do the two pictures - after trying them out for hours I don't know. I made further attempts yesterday and it didn't work. I would have tried this process in Krita or Gimp if I had mastered these programs. I only downloaded them for g'mic and the filters so that I could use those that don't run on Paint.net there. Have a good start in 2019 and greetings from Hamburg
