1. I shared the file to your contact email via Google Drive. 2. Restarted - same issue after restart. 3. Ran the repair cmd, restarted, same issue. 4. No drive issues, as noted, I can edit files no problem in GIMP, or MS Paint, etc. 5. I shared the performance trace via Google Drive as well. I used the WPR, then right clicked the file (from step #1) and chose "Open with paint.net", it did display the thumb this time but immediately locked up. Opening the file from Paint.NET or drag & drop have similar results of locking up the app. Smaller images are working. Is there any way to get a previous version to use for now? I can't seem to find an archive for the past versions. 4.3.4 worked fine. Thanks for your replies and help.

I can't submit the image - too large. It's a 2.48 MB, 5104x7016px scanner capture at 600dpi. I downloaded GIMP and edited everything successfully - once I had the finished, cropped image exported from GIMP, it opened in Paint.NET with no hanging. I've been using Paint.NET and this scanner for a couple years, opening multiple images for editing that are each that size or much larger.

Yes, it's pegging the CPU 98-99% in Task Manager. The little thumbnail that generates at the top never appears and I have to force quit. I see also there's no old versions in the repository for me to go back to for now.

Dang, first ever update that doesn't work. Windows 10 Pro, OS Build 19043.1415, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0 - try to open or drag & drop an image in and it hangs creating the thumbnail tab at the top with a spinning gif.
