  1. Yes I am aware two effects are not working. Posting this error report to ask if this would have any effect on any other effects contained in paintdnet. The only error report I see in my installation. Usefull should curtis still be interested in resolving the two plugin failures. As a side note - been having trouble with my mouse and trying to resolve the issue myself. C:\Program Files\paint.net\Effects\CurtisBlack.Common.dll, version 1.0.3736.39220 Type: NearestNeighborCheckersRenderer System.TypeLoadException: Method 'OnRender' in type 'NearestNeighborCheckersRenderer' from assembly 'CurtisBlack.Common, Version=1.0.3736.39220, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' does not have an implementation. 2. Add my voice to the list. Just installed it on my WIN10 system and nothing happens with my folder of pics > all less than 256. At least it doesn't crash paint. No error report to provide though. Makes diagnosing very difficult I'm sure.
  3. WOW - Just WOW says it all. Nice work and I bet you had fun creating it too.
  4. Another example of the creative minds helping to make this the best app ever
  5. WOW - Another excellent addition to our set of tools with your TIleWorld. My how plugins have improved lately. Been playing with the old ones too much. Works beautifully Ego. Thank you for this.
  6. Author field blank on your new TileWorld - quick before anyone notices B)

  7. The part I couldn't get was how to create the proper texture. I spent time on the laces and tried to get them to lineup correctly on a sphere in Shape3D. I came close once with the texture part - but I ruined it and couldn't recreate it. I just got lucky finding the right color. The textures you guys did was amazing. I don't think I followed the correct path to create the object after reading your comments. Thanks for the feedback.
  8. Congrats to all - I can see I have a lot to learn. Any secrets or maps shared would be much appreciated for the next one.
  9. Thank you for the mini Tutorial Pixie. I stand corrected. It also looks like it needs a merged layer to work. Not just a black on white canvas. Another lesson learned. -
  10. The Engrave / Emboss Effect Simple test performed on a big black X on a transparent background and the Emboss or the Engrave effect fails to cover the area 100%. Hopefully the Author is still around to look into this .
  11. Thank you for the tutorial. Learned a lot of things building your hull texture. Now for a ship to put it on

  13. Nice pic - I see that all the time - I thinks its your CPU asking for a beak - or your memory has reached capacity. But that is only my opinion. I run a lot of effects that I think do not get out of memory as well as they should. A restart seems to solve that shaker effect. Thought it was just my eyes asking for a rest.
  14. Time to stop copying Pyrochild
  15. We think alike Ego - Just what I plan to do - speed is not an issue loading Paint - but 200 plug-ins sounds like a good number to stick to. And lets not forget the ones I don't know how to use. . After some thought and installing EDHarvey-Effects 4.0.5120 (1 DLL) that gave me 28 effects - the real issue might be the way Plug-in browser is reporting the numbers. It wants to count effects as Plugins. Can be confusing to a new user. I treat them differently. If 1 Plug-in gives me 28 effects - It's still 1 plug-in. To remove one effect of EdHarvey's - I have to remove all of his. And yes I know his is unique.
  16. I understand. Ill try to weed out the ones I don't need - don't want offend any authors though. Win10 and your app have come a long way since some of these plug-ins were written.
  17. The list of plug-ins in this menu is getting enormous. My suggestion would be to allow the mouse wheel to become active when X (30?) amount of items appear on the menu.
  18. Just makes me wonder MJW...... If you select the area first - before you paint or erase - the app prevents you from going outside the selected area to paint or erase.
  19. Thank you both for your comments. Learning well - but still a long way to go to match you two.
  20. lynxster4 deserves a place in my art gallery with this latest creation. Learning to use the add-ins a little better now using her shape. Did you know there is art buried in those bevels of yours lynster?
  21. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Can you believe I just found your pack today? I can. What better way to say thank you than sharing a few uses of your shapes. Exactly what I needed to practice with. Just finished all of TRs add-ins and I too like the shapemaker. Hope to get to learn it as well as you. Then I can have some fancy dancy icons to share with you. In the meantime - keep on shaping. I know - too much red. Still a noobie
  22. Greetings. As you may well know - I'm a new user that has just discovered PaintDNet and fell in love with the potential it provides. I am not a programmer - nor am I an artist. Neither of which is required to be a dedicated user of the application. The value is in the plugins that I'm beginning to discover.

After going through ALL of TechnoRobbo's plug-ins (80) and a few other packs I was pointed to in the beginning, I came across your recent posting about your newest addition to what is becoming, for me, a huge database of plug-ins. (really only 218) but that shows you how far I have to go with a total list of over 900 to choose from.

I see that you are mainly focused on height maps more than everything else. Well one plug-in led to another and I see you have a whole list of them. Looking forward to trying each and every one of them over the next week and see if I can get a handle on their use.

Surprised you haven't released them in a pack - but values the fact that one must learn slowly and not try to master all your plug-ins at once.

I'm still a learner but a fast one. Any suggestions on the order of learning each plug-in would be appreciated. These are the four I have selected. Let me know if I should look at any others first.

    TextureShader

    TextureMerger
    Texture Smoother
    RenderSphereHeightMap

With the video tutorials of TR - I was able to learn what a height map was and was able to create one. I plan to create several more.  24-bit height maps was a term I just heard for the first time. Still trying to get a better understanding of the different types of objects we are creating. Height maps - textures and maps. Still a beginner.

Thank you in advance for the all the plug-ins you have added to this application. Hope I can create something pleasing to your eye. Any requests?

Thank you very much for your response -  look for my work in each thread of each plug-in. I will go slow no doubt.

Happy to meet you too B)
