  1. Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over. Limitations: Project has been abandoned. Editor's Note: The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility is provided "as is" to help resolve installation problems for programs that use Microsoft Windows Installer. If you use this utility, you may have to reinstall other programs. Thanks for trying to help a computer lay-person, but I really do not want more problems than I already have. Maybe I can figure out how to use Gimp!
  2. Discovered something interesting, but don't know what it means! When I tried downloading 4.0.13 I did so to my Desktop. I have the installer , only, on Desktop. Checked in both C files: Program Files and Program Files (x86) and no Paint.net. Just happened to go into Control Panel Add/Remove programs and it shows Paint.net 4.0.13, 56.8mb, 28/1/17. So where is it? Thanks for any help.
  3. Hello. Only tried 4.0.11 because I couldn't install 4.0.13 yesterday. Run MTS again today, no issues, tried installing 4.0.13 today and still get fatal error conclusion.
  4. Hi. Yes did this yesterday and again today- see first screen shot. From today "Issue not present" against all things checked by MTS.
  5. Hello, thanks for your reply. I don't have the option to Uninstall, it goes through the sequence automatically A, B, C to fatal error.
  6. I have removed an old version of Paint 3.0. and all associated files. Mistake number 1. Tried downloading 4.0.13 didn't work, removed everything on PC. Tried an earlier version 4.0.11, still cannot install. State of play: I have the unzipped file on my desk top in a folder with PDN1603diag and run. I only have basic computer skills so I am completely lost. I have run the MS TSP without result. Run the PDN1603 and it shows Paint is installed! Not installed, only have installer on desktop. Done a scan of my computer for wiaat dll mui as I saw somewhere deleting C:\windows\system32 sorted the problem - but have not done this. Can you offer any help for someone adrift without oars! Thank you.
