  1. My Aunte wants to have a picture which is 640x427 pixels into a 11" x 14" canvas. I know I can simply enlarge this picture, but is there any way to actually increase the resolution, or doctor the image to look better? Perhaps a plugin that can make some tweaks so it isn't so grainy? Thanks
  2. I'll get to it, I saw that fan and had to try animating it. It's an ADD thing I guess. ?
  3. There is a nice golden fan in that thread that looks like it's slowly rotating. I tried making it into a rotating gif, but it didn't work. It's all glitchy just like my other failed attempts mentioned earlier.
  4. Recolor Gray did it. I could not get the motion to work out like the original, so I just edited the 25 frames of the original.
  5. I'm trying to open up a gif with the layers exposed, but I don't seem to have Save As in the R-Click Menu. Ideas? I figured it out. You simply copy and paste the file (to retain the original), and edit the name and replace .gif with .agif. I want to say i've done this before, and just had a brain freeze.
  6. How do you build this from scratch? Full disclosure, I'm not much of a shape drawer. How is the shading of the blades done? It seems they selected the white portion around the blades and did a Gaussian Blur; maybe.. Is there any way to change the color of this to a custom color leaving the Gaussian blur in tact?
  7. Err.. Blender looks like a Cad/Cam program. Suffer through countless yaw rotation layers, or learn Blender. Choices choices.
  8. Scripting: PDN has Scriptlab, and I played around with it a little, but couldn't get it to advance the ball. In Monolithic, I would like to advance the Yaw by one, paste into new layer, re-open Monolithic, and repeat say; 87 times lol. Is that possible? Maybe I should go check out Blender. With a few tweaks Monolithic would be really good at this. The shortcut at the top of effects that gets created that says "Repeat Monolithic" would repeat the advancing of Yaw would be awesome, but it doesn't. Thoughts.
  9. Thanks Woodsy. I can't seem to find Add Depth in my toolbag. Where should it be located?
  10. I really want a 4D version where you see the back, but just what I can manage with TR's Monolithic is what i'll settle for the time being. A little tweaking, and that program would be really good at making Gifs. I did manage to edit my font which saved the project. I used Glypher Studio, and it was really really easy. I couldn't figure out font forge, or birdfont. I had to convert the file back to TTF for TRMonolithic to recognize the font. Like this:
  11. Editing the O is extremely cumbersome on all the layers I need, does anybody have any experience with editing a font? I downloaded fontforge, but I really can't figure out exactly what I need to do in there. Ideas?
  12. Fiddling with it, I may actually be looking for a 4D textblock in order to facilitate the rotation and see the back as it comes around. Is there a way to build-out using a layering technique? There's an Edge Detect Plugin that I don't know how to use, can it extend the edges out?
  13. Thanks Ego, I'm trying it out. I just was hoping for a way to incorporate the bars on the O.
  14. Thanks Ego! I'm very proud for sure! I'm apparently very particular with my buttons, and I couldn't get anything I like out of the canned button programs. I did a healthy portion of overlays, and gaussian blur, and I haphazardly fenangled what I was looking for. Now i'm off to learn to make GIFs.
  15. Piece of cake! I have no idea how lol. I've surfed some threads on the GIF animations plugins, I've watched a youtube video on 3d text that I couldn't follow. So first thing is how do you flip the label on it's back and show depth? Does this have to be done in the text creating process, or can a label be extended?
  16. I went through the water droplet tutorial, and I don't seem to have the rotate/zoom plugin you were using. thoughts?
  17. Dang Joshua! You just went full professor on it. I appreciate you doing all that, I gained a lot of knowledge. I'm having issues with the drawing and deleting of lines. I can draw them fine, but how you select only the bottom sections and delete i can't figure out. I have managed to select the entire X pattern with the crossbar on top, but whenever I do delete, it leaves a pattern behind where the lines were. It may be related to the wand tool's Global, Flood and the union functions, as I don't really know how to use them properly.
  18. I found these images, and I would like for my phone interface to look similar. I know how to draw out the oval buttons. I don't know how to create the bottom part with the round button and the two buttons on either side with the spacing, and the beveling. And that glowing red button in the circle how was that done? And the shading, Not necessarily the diagonal slash, but the buttons appear to be shaded. The last image with the red marble laserbeam thing going on is the background i wish to use. I want my buttons more pointed, and the outline the same color as that red in that image. The red i
  19. Yea, for the record, I use Homeseer HSTouch to do the 'Controlling'.
  20. Well, it would be a way to add properties to a transparent image. A transparent distortion layer. Like I said, I don’t think that is possible. However, making a button that distorts the text “GARAGE” is possible I think. I’m looking into the water droplet tutorial. Thanks..
  21. No, I would like to make a button to use for my HSTouch (Homeseer) Client Interface. I need buttons that say Garage, Living Room, Bedroom etc. I was thinking have the button transparent but try to magnify the background/wallpaper dynamically. I don't think that's possible but I could be wrong. Or, more feasible would be to have the button names appear as if the button itself is a magnifying glass.
  22. Any way to make a Button that appears to be a magnifying glass rounded rectangle thingamabob? Any way to make the button dynamically magnify the background? I can't say I've ever seen that. Water droplet affect is what I'm looking for in making command buttons.
