    Ah, makes sense. It has been quite a while since I've updated Paint.Net. Well, I deleted the folder, rebooted, and tried again but unfortunately it still gives me the issue. A bit sad, but barring a system restore or PC reset it seems like I shall have to look for a different program to use for now. Thanks for the help guys! Looking forward to the day I get Paint.NET working again.

    Fair enough, tricked is a better descriptor. Hm, I'm unsure why it shows Windows 8 in the log, but I checked my PC info and it says Windows 10. Safe Mode produced the same error, unfortunately.

    Hey there, sorry I should have clarified that this is on Windows 10. I did the free upgrade from Windows 8.1 (Well, was forced into the free upgrade, anyhow). Opening up task manager, it says that there is 3.2 GB in use, with 4.7 GB available in memory.

    Hi there guys, I've recently had an issue with paint.net and would really appreciate any help to get it running again. It is a fantastic program and this is the first time I've had an issue with it. I tried opening it as usual today but was greeted with a crash and the pdncrash txt was automatically generated. Perhaps it was just time to upgrade. However, upon trying to run the installer it crashes right after extraction and before any setup windows can open. A picture of the log is attached. I've googled around but could not quite find anything. Maybe I did not look hard enough. I have restarted and shut-down, as well as tried a few other things like repairing the frameworks, but to no avail. I hope you kind souls can help me with this. Thank you very much!
