  1. Hi Eli, I played around with it more tonight and learned the technique better. Here is where I'm at thus far:
  2. Ok, So I got it to where you have it. Couple of things. I can't get the "interior" black using hue+, it only seems to affect the red. How can the rounded edges be "smoothed" so you don't see the arc bends....mine is really dramatic in terms of how much inner and outer bends I see within the bevel. Lastly, why is the bevel required to make this work instead of just the trail effect? Yours is still better than mine, just trying to figure out the best settings. Thank you for your help. Chris
  3. oh just noticed you have two layers.....am i supposed to duplicate the layer and then use the trail effect to make it work? EDIT: I didn't read your method as I was to busy looking at image......I will follow your instruction and try again.
  4. The distance pulls it in the right direction but I get the blobs like the other image......this is on just the single only layer with no duplicates. It is not doing anything like what you have there...... Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Clearly your doing exactly what I want! LOL.
  5. Hello All, A few years ago I had a logo built for my website using my registered logo from original vector drawings from the early 80's. The person built me a good rendition using the vector art I had and was able to make it "3D". We are no longer in contact and he never gave me the source file that I we agreed upon when I paid him. Now I am looking to try and rebuild it from my digitized vector files. I've followed quite a few paint.net text 3D logo tutorials and I got pretty far and able to rotate it like what I have on my site. The problem is when I started building the layers, the internal geometries get lost and smear out the interior lines to the point it's not my logo but just a big red smear. I duplicate the layer, arrow it up, and duplicate, up......I'm guessing for at least 15-20 times to create the "depth", but as you can see from attached images, I am clearly not doing something correctly or approaching this the wrong way. I was wondering if someone can guide me to what the proper steps would be to allow me to create a close rendition of the completed version attached here. Thank you. Chris
