  1. here is the image details from a thumb on youtube.. it states it is a .png file it won't let me upload a file that large, so here is a link to my youtube channel and just about everyone of the thumbs on it are multiple layered with transparency. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3dwzfbmFJz81AsNkIuJCsw Look, guys... i do appreciate the help, but it seems that you are getting upset with me for some reason... if you look at the top two pictures, they are pictures that were uploaded (with transparant backgrounds), This is NOT just happening on Youtube, it works correctly on some websites, but not on others or on my computer... I Do understand that it could be some kind of setting because this JUST started happening after the last update.. BTW.. my computer is nearly brand new.. I bought it 2 months ago and it is a pretty decent one. I am NOT an idiot and I know that this is a NEW thing that just started happening.. I was just asking for assistance in trying to figure it out. If you can help, please do so, if not, no problem. This site will NOT allow me to upload the files you are requesting, I am doing my best by putting them on Photobucket,
  2. Moxilla Firefox fully updated. well, ive been doing it for years now with no problem until recently.. so you tell me.. because I upload them as .png
  3. The thing is, i can open them in Photos, Picture Viewer, and Power Media Player, but they still show up black.. Also, I uploaded one of these that I had made with multiple layers to Youtube as a Thumbnail and it showed up black on Youtube as well... I ended up removing it and put in a white background instead of a tranparant one just so it would look OK.
  4. yea How do i get rid of that... i downloaded quicktime player to open some .mov files for Sony Vegas and ever since then, my regular photo viewer is just gone
  5. it seems to show up fine on photobucket, but here is what I see when I double click the file to view it: http://s44.photobucket.com/user/Jereme_Amberson/media/Screenshot 6_zpspqqki8w8.png.html
  6. http://s44.photobucket.com/user/Jereme_Amberson/media/Pixelmon Thumb 07_zpsqw8bfizp.png.html
  7. i guess i have reached the max upload amount... it won't let me upload anything no matter how small it is
  8. Also if I upload the image, the areas that are transparant are black as well.
  9. When i copy the image from my files and paste it into a new pdn or one that i am working on, it pastes with the transparant background and looks fine, but as soon as I save it and then open the file on my computer to see how it looks, it is black??? Also, in the preview thumbnail in my folder, it show correctly, but when I double click it to open it, the white/transparent areas become black.
  10. it is set to 32 bit and still the same. I have done multiple saves to of different settings to see if it changes and it does not
  11. Ok, so I have been using paint dot net for years and I know how to make a transparant background.. been doing it a while, but all of a sudden about a week ago, all of my transparant backgrounds started showing as either black or white depending on what program I used to open them with or if I viewed them online. I make sure to delete the background and save the images as .png. I have also tried to use other online editing software like pixlr.com and gimp to make the background transparent and they still show up as either black or white. The only thing i can think of that is different is that my computer is windows 10 OS and recently did an update (about the same time that this problem started), Could the update have changed a setting? If so, what? PLEASE HELP!
