Alrighty, the download finally worked after multiple tries (no idea why however). Still didn't do the trick. So I went ahead and ran the diagnostic tool that you sent me. Here's the .txt file that it gave me. =Link=

The .NET download link doesn't appear to be working. Do you have any alternative download links?

Click here for reference. I've been having trouble installing Paint.NET ever since we upgraded our family computer to Windows 8. .NET Framework is the latest version and seems to be working properly. The installer looks to be doing what it's doing at first, but after that second-to-last image a blank window pops up and then immediately closes up to the point that I can't screencap fast enough. There seems to be a compatibility issue with it, and I don't know how to fix this other than downgrading to Windows 7 again. Any suggestions on what to do? also pls forgive me if this is in the wrong section
