  1. Seerose - Beautiful!
  2. Thank you all so much for your input and support. With your helpful suggestions and another step-by-step go through the entire tutorial I am quite sure I will be able to figure this out.
  3. Paint.net. My perfect brain food. With so many great plug-ins to play with, I still learn new things every time I use it. ShapeMaker is one of my favorites so I thought I would share some of my creations. These shapes work best using 'Draw Shape Outline" as some of them do not fill correctly. I read the entire user guide twice, visited the Microsoft links, reviewed all I found in the forums, tried rearranging the path lists and was still unable to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. IronSkye's Flowers.zip IronSkye's Leaves.zip IronSkye's Stars n Stuff.zip
  4. To have the choice to save current session history to my local computer prior to closing the file would sure be handy. Although information "from the horse's mouth' tells me this could only be done as a 'get-it-now or its-gone-forever' scenario, to have the opportunity to save file history similar to the way Shape Maker allows us to save projects would be so very useful. Shape Maker is one of my very favorite plugins because of how well it is designed to manage projects as well as it is designed for creating them.
  5. I am a big fan of your work. You do especially well creating glass bottles and applying glass effects to what started out as something simple, like your apples or the the way you did that egg. I use PDN to make the patterns I use for hand carving glass tabletops, cabinet fronts and window pieces. Your 'gift of glassyness' is most impressive!
  6. Ego Eram Reputo - You are my Hero! I do not have two monitors, but the one that I do have has two available modes, analog and digital. I checked my video settings and sure enough there it was. Not sure how, but my pc settings were of that for dual monitors on an extended desktop. Once corrected - problem solved. Thank you so much!
  7. No UI pops up for Shape3D in v4.0.19 - Plugin will render a simple gray scale sphere and does not launch the settings UI. PDN locks up solid and must be terminated from task manager. Crash logs do NOT get generated. Troubleshooting steps taken: -force quit pdn/ uninstall then reinstall shape3d from forum = no change -force quit pdn/ uninstall then reinstall shape3d from author's web page = no change -force quit pdn/ unlock all items in effects folder = no change -ran fixpdn.exe/ reboot pc = no change -reinstall .NET, now running v4.7 = no change
  8. Hello Pixey, Great tut. Well worth the effort. It will be some time before I can stop playing with this so I have not yet completed anything to share. But the bottle mesh alone done in silver with a bit of trail does make a great chain link fence . . . . Nice Job!
  9. Thank you all for your interest. Most appreciated. Yes, I did use cylinder mode and played with the lighting a bit. I will do my best to replicate this and work on getting out a tutorial. I looked at each of the different texture map settings in Shape 3D's box mode on the same Curly Lines image. Results were quite interesting. This is the same Curly Lines image rendered as a Shape 3D box using the cube map. This time I did save my Shape 3D settings. Box size scaling, camera angle and lights off were the only changes I made.
  10. Please excuse my posting this late reply. I am new to PDN and am going through these forums for the first time. This plugin is beyond amazing, a good bit of fun, and in my opinion deserving of this most complimentary acknowledgement to the author, davidf. Thank you David. All the useful coolness in this tool got me to experimenting a bit and I decided to see what would happen if what I created with the Curly Lines plugin were rendered again using Shape3D. The results, similar to this one, were really quite interesting but unfortunately I can not recall all steps t
  11. I am new to Paint.NET and find no words exist that can give this software the compliments and praises that it truly does deserve. Paint.NET was easy for me to learn, does far beyond what I need it to do, has great forums, and did not cost me a dime. Thank you Rick Brewster and all who participate. And Rick, please wear that cape with pride. You are my Hero.
  12. WOW! You are my Hero! I am running Paint.Net 4.0.12 on Win7 Ultimate SP1 x64 with .Net 6.5.1, and the same Avast version you are, but my experience was a bit different. The error pop-up appeared every single time I launched Paint.Net. It also popped up whenever I double clicked a *.pdn file or right-clicked on a file using 'open with' then selecting Paint.NET. It did not matter if Paint.NET was running or not. Drove me nuts! This thing has been bothering me for quite some time (6 months) and now it is finally gone! Not sure why I did not find this update when I did my rese
