@TrevorOutlaw --Yes. The Dryad and the tree are one and the same (according to folklore), which is why I made the dispersion ambiguous.

So what's on the other side of the door? Fantastic work as always!

Oooh wow...I have been wondering how you created this effect. Thanks Trevor!

Actually I'm not sure which branch. The ones who fought the MacGregors (it's a long story - which I don't fully know).
Oh! Glenorchy then! So, technically you would wear Campbell of Breadalbane if you wanted something different from the standard Black Watch.

How on earth...those are fantastic!

I'm believe I'm a Campbell - so these are my clan colors
I'd wear a kilt - y' got a problem w' tha' Jimmy?
A Campbell eh? Which branch, cousin?
After my mother's people left the Hardangerfjord, they married into the lords of the Orkney Islands--a sept of Campbell of Cawdor. Of course, we're also associated with Clan Stuart, but they don't like to admit to Maddad's children!

I'm liking the fiery effect you've given not just the creature, but the text. Very well done! You might want to use a little AA's Assistant on the Runes though, just to tidy up the edges a little.

Oh my gosh! Never pictured @Rick Brewster as looking vaguely Elven. (For some odd reason, I always pictured him as a blonde mad scientist type. *ahem*) This is a fantastic pic though!

@Pixey! *squee!* AND it's red!
I prefer to write with fountain or dip pens whenever I can, and some of the best writing I've ever done was with a dip pen made of Venetian glass. Unfortunately, the pen and inks disappeared several years ago so I'm still trying to find a good replacement. Your new piece reminds me of the decoration on the end of one of the pens I was considering. Gorgeous!
