  1. Oooh this is fantastic! Shadows line up perfectly, and the marbled texture is a beautiful touch.
  2. Paint.Net, the final frontier.... MUCH love for this one!
  3. Or "chiropractic" in the case of the old Egyptian murals!
  4. This could be why the charioteer made a break for it actually.... Brilliant! Thank you!
  5. @lynxster4 thank you! She started out as a facial study, and then the Lion mentioned he wanted to see her in a "b----ing chariot." Et voila! And your horses were exactly what she needed! Ipuki is the one rearing (red stars on blanket) and Kahmet is the serious one (with yellow stars).
  6. Thank you @welshblue! And yes, I would love love LOVE that tutorial! It started out as @MadJik's textured floor/gravel effect, but it didn't fit the picture at all. Thus, the sand; unfortunately, if we look at scale accurately, she's zipping around on a desert full of marbles.
  7. @MadJik yes I know, but I'm not confident at all in my profile drawing (yet). Technically the torso should be the only part facing the viewer while the rest is in profile; this was how they believed they showed the most attractive parts of humans IIRC. I'm hoping to become more proficient in profiles so I can create them accurately. As a side note, I tried standing like that once as a kid and fell over! Clearly, the Egyptians were far more graceful than I!
  8. Thank you @Seerose! I thought the chariot was the hardest part, and then I started drawing her. Eek! Thanks @Pixey! I'm sure she would like to tell us once her driver gets back from the charioteer's room.
  9. I think I should probably stick to portraits of real people instead of trying to make them from scratch...or maybe I should just stick to chariots. Horse shapes by the inimitable @lynxster4!
  10. I love it! Shape3D is one of my favorite plugins (I feel another room scene coming on in fact....).
  11. Dearest @Pixey, I would like to volunteer to do the baking for the grand opening of your boutique. This piece just blew my mind.
  12. Thanks everyone! And thanks @Ego Eram Reputo for publishing this every month!
  13. Oh she's spectacular! Agree with @Woodsy that I like yours better.
  14. @welshblue, it just means PDN has rooted itself firmly in your brain. Join the club.
  15. ETA: own photo, view from Ski-Hi Apple Orchard over the valley where I grew up.
  16. ETA: own photo, taken at Ski-Hi Apple Orchard on my honeymoon.
  17. Ooooh...you must be a fairy! You grew such a lovely garden, and you've turned it into glass!
  18. Agreed! (Worked wonders on shading Bowie's cheekbones, let me tell ya.) I thought about including Smudge, but figured this was more what OP needed.
  19. Beautiful! Reminds me of the intro to Family Affair, which I've always thought was beautifully hypnotic.
  20. So @Pixey, why exactly aren't you working for Tiffany and Co.? This one is spellbinding!
