  1. I occasionally dabble with morphing too. Looking forward to trying out your new plugin. * Edit* Animation deleted on request.
  2. Great job on instructions Pixey! I'm not into theses types of things, so won't add to this. Don't really need to anyway it seems.
  3. Shot this on my front porch today. Created in PDN v3.5.11 (running in Linux) from decimated frames.
  4. Never used Picasa. I don't use any version of online storage for anything important like photos for obvious reasons like this one. If I want to share a photo, I'll just email, text or upload to wherever.
  5. Yes and Oracle's Virtual Box works equally well in Linux. However, you still have to install Windows on the Virtual Machine and before you can launch a windows program, you have to boot up the Windows OS. The advantage to using Wine, is the launch time for the windows program is very short and only requires clicking on the shortcut. PDN version 3.5.11 runs very well with all the compatible plugins and only takes about 5 seconds to load in Linux under Wine. Here is an example done all in PDN in Linux under Wine using midora's Animate Images plugin.
  6. I just made this quick example. I assume it's the way ASH did it. I set primary color to blue and set secondary color alpha to 0. Then on an empty layer I drew lines with a line plugin (Parallel lines and paterns), then used Shape3D to render the 3D image.
  7. Thank's, that works nicely. Don't know why I missed that, maybe because I had scripting disabled in my browser.
  8. Does anyone have a working link to the older version of this PSD plugin that works in PDN 3.5.11? The link in the first post is dead. Thanks.
  9. Yes the problem is trying to install .NET 4.6.1 in Wine. I could never get it installed on numerous attempts. I haven't tried PDN 4.0.7 or 4.0.6. I don't have a copy of those versions anymore anyway.
  10. Eureka, finally I managed to install a working version of PDN in Linux under Wine. I had to upgrade Wine to version 1.9.3, which allowed me to create a Win10 virtual drive. Unfortunately I was unable to install PDN version 4.0.9, I had to settle for version 3.5.11 instead. Oh well, at least I was able to get a working version of PDN in Linux.
  11. Thanks for the link, it gives me some more ideas. I'll try something later when I have some time.
  12. Has anyone had any success installing PDN under Wine in Linux? I've tried multiple times with version 4.0.9 and even 3.5.11, with no luck at all. I thought v 4.0.9 would succeed, but it crashed while trying to install Dot.NET 4.6.1. Wine is a hit or miss with most Windows s/w. I can install PhotoShop, but PDN seems to not want anything to do with it. Just curious if anyone had success in this and how they accomplished it.
  13. Yes, that is indeed your FurBlur plugin effect. Don't worry, I've been called much worse than dipstick.
  14. Just tested it out and it works fine here (PDN 4.0.9 / Win10). The hourglass keeps going, but the image is already made. I have to close out the plugin to kill the hourglass thinggy. It works and makes the image substantially smaller. I like how you can specify color sub-sampling if you want to.
  15. Imitation is the best form of flattery. I always liked Red's avatar, it's conspicuously inconspicuous.
  16. Nice Pastel effect plugin. I used multiple layers and blending modes for this one.
  17. Excellent tut Pixey! I'm not much into bling, but here is my creation.... * Edit, I made a better one.
  18. No rain barbieq25, but how about 35 inches of snow? Oh my aching back, shoveling out of that mess.
  19. Save the image as a PNG, BMP, TIFF, or PSD (if you have the adobe plugin). You can save as jpg, but you will loose some quality.
  20. Simple, maybe.........But a true professional always makes it worthy.
  21. ...And what's ffmpeg.dll doing in the system32 folder? I use ffmpeg all the time, yet never encountered an ffmpeg.dll is system32 or any folder for that matter. Unless you have some strange GUI (I haven't encountered) that uses ffmpeg for encoding?
  22. Wonder why that is? My version of Windows is version 10.0 (10240) and according to Windows "Programs and Features", i'm only up to VC++2012, yet PDN version 4.0.9 had no problems installing and works fine. Some older plugins don't play well however...
  23. If you are wanting to create a Vector Image, then I believe ShapeMaker Plugin would serve you well.
