Thanks for the feedback guys, certainly useful. What I really wanted to know (I suppose) is, is it actually possible to tell the colour space that is in use why a saved JPEG? If Paint.Net only operates in RGB, and only saves in RGB, then that great to know, and perhaps determining what a specific file type is saved as is a job for another application. If anyone know what could be used, without the expense of Photoshop, I would be grateful.

Hi, Is it possible to tell what colour space a file has be saved in using Paint.Net? Is it possible to save to a specific file type and colour space, i.e. JPG and RGB, or JPG and CMYK? I assume the default file save for JPG is in RGB, but would like to be sure. I think there might even be other colour space option as well, such as grey scale etc. Cheers

Thanks for the feedback, Rick. Indeed, a simple way to draw exact size shapes through keyboard entry would be highly desirable, either in a similar manner to the Rectangle selection, or through entry in the status bar at the bottom, or even right clicking on the object and altering it properties before you have "finished" that object manipulation. I will look at the arrow key method, however, for this task I had to switch to another application.

Hi, I have read a few forum posts around this subject and it seems as though you can create a selection of an exact size, but not a drawing shape. What I'm after doing to create, say a rectangle, of 400 x 900 px, by simply typing to width and height, without resorting to a poor hand-eye co-ordination.Same would be true of any shape, such as specifying the circle diameter, etc. Is there a simple way to do this?
