So I am trying to make something for a game, but the size has to be 728 x 90. No more, no less. I am trying to fit picture that is 710 x 400 into it. I can fit it in, but it is all squished and hard to see. Is there anyway I can make it look like it was in it's original size but a lot smaller?

Everytime I try to use gradient on my texts, it ends up coloring the whole canvas. I tried putting the text on a different layer but it didn't work. Can anyone help?
