  1. Very funny, Eli. That would be the equivalent of not plugging in the computer. BoltBait, the same thing has happened to me twice now with new images. Since I hadn't read your reply, my workaround was to save my work, exit PDN and restart it. The next time, I'll try Ctrl-D. Not Much Later: That did the trick. Thanks a lot! Lane
  2. What about the default size for new files? Almost all of mine are going to be 1024x768; is there any way to replace the current 800x600? Lane
  3. Thank you for your reply. I'm pleased to report it does work in the test you suggested. And now it's working in the image where it didn't work before! Like so many computer problems, I fiddle around, the problem goes away, and I learn nothing by the process. Lane
  4. I'm a long-time GIMP user, but I want to consider Paint.NET as an alternative. I just installed version 4.0.6 in 64-bit Windows 7 SP1. I've read the Rules and the FAQ, and I did a search for "text color." It's obvious to me that when I use the Text tool, the text should be the Primary color. But it isn't. There is no color at all. The cursor is sized appropriately for the text size, and the cursor moves along as I type. There is also the little cross handle for moving the text. But the text is invisible. Lane
