  1. Thank you @Pixey There is surprisingly a lot of layers in this particular composition...took me awhile to get it 'just right'. ? Wow, what is going on with the new smileys? Now they're all black and white.
  2. I'm not one to re-hash old images but I kept wondering if I could make my Angelfish shape more realistic. Remember this one from Sept. 2016? Of course, I was going for a glass look here. So I started tinkering, and, yes, I used @MJW's wonderful HeightMap plugins and came up with this: Not too bad I think. What does everyone else think? ?
  3. The Poll is now open for 'Greyscale Art'. It will be closed on Saturday, July 7th, 2018 - 2 pm DST and 6 pm UK time. World Clock. Thank you, everyone, for your beautiful entries. May the best win!
  4. Wowzer! @Pixey That is just gorgeous! Love it! ?
  5. Hi @Tecknoz and welcome. ? If you are asking about running Paint.Net then the requirements are Windows 10 and PDN version 4.0.21 (the latest), if you need help on a specific PDN issue. PDN runs on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, but Rick Brewster recommends everyone to upgrade to Windows 10, if possible.
  6. The theme this week is – "Greyscale Art " Chosen by ( @doughty SOTW #186 winner) This week you're challenged to design and create a signature to look like β€˜Greyscale ’. Examples can be viewed here. As per doughty, any appropriate subject matter is acceptable, but no color element allowed. The deadline for entries is 6:00 pm (UK time) 2:00 pm (DST) on Saturday, June 30th, 2018. To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time Competition Rules Max dimensions are 500 x 200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500 x 150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your regular signature. Please keep your signature family-friendly. Please keep to the theme that has been set. You may modify or replace your image until the deadline! Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous. Your entry must be made using Paint.net; please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work. There are three entries per entrant allowed. Don’t add links to larger versions of your signature. Your entry should be voted on based on the size laid out in rule #1. Please keep larger versions of your work for your gallery. Signatures may be either horizontal or vertical. The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering. Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler, Nitenurse79, Chimay, DrewDale & Pixey for keeping this comp going in the past. Previous comps have included the following topics as listed Here compiled by MJW. This list will perhaps assist future winners with a theme. This thread is for posting your entries only. If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here.

  20. Back with a new knitted composition! I call this one 'Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty' (little ball of fur...happy kitty, sleepy kitty purr...purr...purr...) Had been looking for a way to make knitting stitches. Lo and behold, @MJW's Trail Blur helped me achieve it. It's all in the 'curvature' slider! Not true, sorry. It's other settings in the plugin that make it possible. Thank you MJW! Hope you all enjoy it! ?
  21. Love it! @LionsDragon The way the sun rays are coming in and illuminating certain parts of the garden...spot on! Another peaceful and mood-elevating piece! Thank you...?
  22. Hi @Kasper Another plugin to use would be Red's EarthsnGreys found in his plugin pack. I could not find an individual thread for this plugin. Go to the plugin pack page and look for 'EarthsnGreys'; there is an example posted. It achieves almost an exact duplicate of what you're looking for. Choose 'close tone greys' in the drop-down menu and play with all the sliders. It's found in the 'Color' menu. I did this real quick:
