I've struggled to crop out people or characters from pictures with a multi-colored backround. Adding a crop tool would help my problems with that. My suggestion is making one like PS where you click and then click once again to create a line between the two places you clicked and continue clicking until you've made a line around the thing you want to crop to then be able to move the selected area. Kind of hard to explain but I think this would be rather awesome!
