You can change the resolution by going to "Image>Canvas Size." There is the image's height and width, but also the DPI or resolution. You were told correctly; the higher the resolution, the better the image will appear when printed.

Are there any plug ins or other ways that the line tool could have different endings? I use the Arrow, filled arrows and rounded line frequently; however, for certain purposes, it would be great if the line tool could have a "T" shaped ending. Is there an existing plugin or does someone know of a way to edit that? Thanks,
