  1. I simplified the tutorial a bit for variants 1, 2, and 3 by changing the Emboss+ effect settings to eliminate inverting colors.
  2. Added Variant 7. I was sure I had finished this tutorial, but today I found the effect that interested me - MultiSpline by @Red ochre. Using this effect can give you a great choice for creating embossed textures. Thank you @Red ochre for this good effect. Perhaps this tutorial is getting cumbersome, but I'm not sure that this was the last variant.
  3. Welcome back to the forum, @Xhin! Interesting effect. I think it will be useful in many cases.
  4. @lynxster4, Align Object by @xod located in the menu Effects -> Object, but Align Object by @moc426 really is on the menu Effects.
  5. I think this feature will be useful, even for a few encoders. Most likely, this feature will help us to quickly master Snippets in Visual Studio. I want this.
  6. Thanks for the PDF, @Woodsy.
  7. Amazingly beautiful! Thank you, @welshblue.
  8. I confess that I have not yet mastered the technique of working with a Brush Factory. Yes, I will mention both of these plugins in the tutorial a little later. Thanks for the tips, @welshblue.
  9. I rewrote this tutorial because after 2009 there were new plugins that allow you to achieve the same result with fewer steps. For example, the Tone Gradient Angle by @Red ochre proved to be a suitable replacement for Normal Map by @stinger. In my opinion, I was able to simplify the tutorial.
  10. This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it This tutorial is a reconstruction of @h3llb0yn3cr0's Spacescape tutorial. Of course, a different base colors will produce a different star color. Part 3: Planet Your planet is finished! If you want to create a planet similar to Earth, go to the next part. Part 4: Earth-like Planet Merge all the layers and we will get this image: and his outcome:
  11. Yes, it's much faster. Thank you @SodiumEnglish!
  12. Paint.NET unlike Photoshop, it is a free program developing by one person - Rick Brewster, unlike Photoshop team development. However, there are enough plugin developers (coders) on the forum who may be able to help you in response to your request for the plugin you need. Remember that possibilities Paint.NET not comparable to the possibilities of Photoshop. Take a look at Plugin Index - maybe you will find what you need. Some plugins have analogues (full or not full) of Photoshop plugins.
  13. Yes, it's an interesting method, and @yellowman left us a mini tutorial. @MJW, thank you for the reminder.
  14. Thank you @Woodsy, It was not difficult because @kaunas163 left a link to the video tutorial and I just refreshed the text and images.
  15. Added Variant 6 and completed.
  16. @Pixey & @Seerose, beautiful outcomes!
  17. Added Variants 4 and 5. Thanks @Woodsy for the idea of variants!
  18. Upgrade to version 1.2 Fixed a bug where when setting Amount to less than or equal to 100% the image was grayed out.
  19. Replace line: <Gradient xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> with line: <Gradient xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" LockAlpha="true"> Note the space between the quotes and LockAlpha - it must be present.
  20. This is most likely a built-in Turbulence effect (Effects -> Render -> Turbulence) with Fractal sum Noise and unchecked Blend.
