Another missing thing: the REPORT-Button in member profile that I've used often to report spammers. I don't want report every single post.

Do we have to talk seriously about definitions? Then I ask you whether you know the definition of "annoying". I thought that you respect my opinion? Enough said, I think.
-
Nope. You can't compare a great artist and his work with some animated avatars in a forum. Permanent animations of this kind are simply annoying. Edit: For a while (some hours) I use a new, animated version of my avatar. As you can see, It's possible but annoying.

God ... I hope NOT! I was hoping that I left the 90s with their flashing and flickering on the screen behind me.

Strange issue with centering on text
IRON67 replied to SlickWylde's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
I can't really see a problem. This behavior is normal. What else should happen? If your text cursor is out of view because you have zoomed in and you want add some text, you must SEE it so PDN has to center the view to the text cursor. -
Removing People from Landscapes
IRON67 replied to stevehb's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
If I want to remove something in an image, I use the Clone Stamp Tool with 0% Hardness and dependig on the background colors with Blending Mode "Normal", "Lighten" or "Darken". Works fine for me. -
Problems with Transparency
IRON67 replied to Inzannatee's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
That's happen, because you don't really put it ON TOP of a new image but replaced the space around your cutted figure in the "background"-image with the transparency around the cutted figure/object. You have to choose "Paste into New Layer" instead. Edit: sorry for explaining again. I have overlooked some of the previous answers. -
Need Help on changing .png -> .pdn file manually
IRON67 replied to Omicronic's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
The main reason for saving your work as an PDN-File is to keep the layers for a later editing. But your already saved PNG-file has only ONE layer, so it makes no sense to save it then as a PDN. Just changing the file extension manually is a bad idea. The complete file structure is different and don't fit. -
searching for (1) plugin
IRON67 replied to Collagemaster's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
You really should searching the Plugin-Index. There are multiple Bevel-Plugins like BoltBaits Bevel Object and Red Ochre's ObjectBevel. -
My first attempt at a PNG
IRON67 replied to CRayChosen1's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
BTW. With a little bit of patience you can do it without any plugin - just with Lasso Tool for the big pieces and the eraser for the edges. See here (don't worry about the black background: the image is in fact transparent): -
My first attempt at a PNG
IRON67 replied to CRayChosen1's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
To avoid the unclean edges when you crop, I recommend to use Red Ochre's Tweak Transparency v2. with "edge colour" and "middle colour" on "source". -
What kind of error message appears? What version of Windows do you use? Here I have no problem installing und using AlphaBlur from Tanel's plugin pack. You have to extract the file named AlphaBlur.dll from the ZIP and put it into the subdirectory of your PDN-installation named Effects. If PDN is running during this operation, you have to restart it to find it in the Effects-menu under Blurs.

Making text appear battle worn.
IRON67 replied to DjBlades's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
My try: First I copied the text in a transparent layer, overpainted/cloned the dark metal in the background layer. Then I used the text selection from the new layer for beveling the dark metal and finished this with a little bit of Jitter. Finally I played in the text layer with noise, median and deleting/erasing some darker and lighter red pixels. -
How to put a picture in 3D frame ???
IRON67 replied to kasra's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Ego Eram Reputo wrote "I'd add another line...". That means "I WOULD add ...", so this was a suggestion for you. -
Can the circle tool be improved?
IRON67 replied to Zorock's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
I can see no real problem. If you DISABLE Antialiasing it's impossible to draw a symmetric circle with uneven pixel values. Enable antialiasing and the small circles are symmetric. -
Please explain it better. In case if you mean, that you have selected a head of a person on a photo, you should copy and paste it in a new transparent layer, where you can mirror *) the head horizontally. Of course you have to overpaint the original head in the background layer, maybe with the Clone Stamp *) Use "Move Selected Pixels" and drag one of the nubs from left to right or vice versa while holding down the Shift-key

How to choose best theme site?
IRON67 replied to gilberto's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
What do you mean with "theme"? Theme for what? -
Can I create a circular watermark?
IRON67 replied to Natalie Drest's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Of course it is possible, if you mean a TEXT. The plugin Circle Text is, what you need. -
I'm not sure if you mean me or David. I'm not on twitter.

Remove transparent overlay.
IRON67 replied to shanedaman112's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
Well, of course that's not easy. And if I see the really simple texture, I ask myself (and you) why don't you make it new from scratch? -
Remove transparent overlay.
IRON67 replied to shanedaman112's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
The glass pane is in fact another color added to the "underlying" texture. So you have to select this part of the texture and change the color balance and/or saturation to restore the coloring seen in the upper right part of the texture without the glass pane. -
Not really. You have a lower quality and that's why the FILESIZE is smaller. Thats not a smaller resolution. If you have an image of 3000 x 2000 pixels with a resolution of 96 dpi (normal on screen) then this means 31,25 x 20,83 inches or 79,38 x 52,92 centimeters. If you change the resolution to 300 dpi the result is an image with 10 x 6,67 inches / 25,40 x 16,93 centimeters on the SAME pixelsize.

I think, that the problems with the manual are a result of missing rights of PDN to write in the "Effects" folder. On my system the manual was created without problems. Oh ... some seconds to late....
