  1. Hi Pixey and Ego Eram Reputo!

"and are you using the Classic version, or the store bought?"

I am not quite shure. I have a paid invoice from Microsoft Payments, but do not remember if I changed my primary  classic version against the bought one. Can I see in the program somewhare what version I have?

"Can you locate where your Effects folder is on your computer"

    I found these two places:

The first one contains also a lot of other dll:s. Among others CircleText.dll

  2. Yes, Pixey, I did.

I can tell you about another curious circumstance in this context. As early as 2015, I got help with handling the circle text function. And than it worked really well. When I now want to use it again, it no longer exists. Nor will I  get it to start again. Can this give a clue to an action?

  3. Puh! Now I have succeeded in making a Tools-choice in Effects in the app. But say the joy that lasts forever. The function is incomparably slow and in the end I have to close the program in the Taskmanager. To me, it seems to be something wrong somewhere. The Documents>paint.net App Files>Effekts consist of the files in the enclosed picture. Is that ok or is it wrong?

  4. Thanks ardneh, unfortunately that did not help either. Can you give me the whole thread? It might perhaps help me further.

In the instructions on the page where I downloaded the files from stood:  After a restart of Paint.NET you will find the plugin at Menu-> Effects-> Tools -> Print It.

I have no TOOLS there. Does anyone know anything about that?

  5. That's great. However, there was a problem already in the Microsoft Store that did not let me install the buy version. Have tried to illustrate this in the attached image. Not even when I uninstalled Classic in the usual way. With toe_head2001's help, however, I now have a working app.

I found these two and uninstalled both. When I downloaded the pay version of paint.net, the Microsoft Store still informed me that I already owned it.

But I was able to download and install. I think 🤔. My installer type is at least now called AppX.

One question: where can I find the exe file for paint.net which I can make a shortcut from?

  7. I want to change from Classic to Store (because I forget all the time how many donations I have made.)
    I encounter the following problems:
    1) Microsoft Store refuses to deliver the paid version because I already have the Classic version.
    2) I uninstall the Classic version, but I still can't download the pay version for the same reason.
    3) Now I am completely without paint.net and do a systemrestore. However, Paint.net does not start after that and I receive an error message.
    4) After much googling, I find a place that describes how to repair apps in Win10. Now paint.net actually works again. As Classic.
But how do you change from Classic to Store in real?
