  1. Oooh, it's neck and neck!
  2. Such a shame that it happened to Malaysia Airlines, who has already had a tragedy befall them just 4 months ago. In fact, it is of course a shame that it happened at all. Hopefully the truth will come out about what really happened.
  3. Nice! What are you using to make it? Are you using a breadmaker?
  4. Great day today! Smeef has been officially released! You can play it at www.smeef.tk There is also a screenshot at the top. All of the art is by me, all of the code (except for a little bit) is by Dylan. Hope you have fun playing it, and I look forward to seeing how you fare!
  5. There is an amazing tutorial channel for blender. Explains everything, great results. http://www.youtube.com/user/tutor4u 10/10 Did Subscribe
  6. Layers in Paint.NET work a lot like a stack of paper, as you'd expect. As you've said though, you want to know how to. So to begin with, make sure your layer window is open. You'll see a little square with a + on the bottom bar of that window. Click it and hooray, you've got a new layer. Now you can click between them using the window, and whatever changes you make on that layer will only affect that layer. Suppose you want to overlay a picture of a plate onto a table. Create a new canvas, make a new layer. Go to your first layer (the bottom one) and then paste in your image of the tabletop. Go to the top layer and paste in your plate image. You can move this plate around however much you want and it won't affect the table. If it has a background on it, you could use the magic wand tool to remove it. Note that in the layers window there is an image of a nametag and pencil where you can change the opacity and blend mode of the layer to the layer/s below. Hope this crash course helped!
  7. Thanks Helen and drydareelin! I've added a poster for a minigame that Dyl and I have made. It's super addictive (as friends and family say and me)
  8. Two new things added! Volcano and Cube images. Both photo-manipulations. Let me know what you think!
  9. Here's another one, I made Rangitoto (NZ volcano) erupt. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/236475228/ranga.png
  10. Wow, I like it - adds a new depth to the image. Lomography is a good plugin, is it not? This is my first photo-manipulation, I don't know what I'm doing, haha. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/236475228/yikes.png
  11. If I'm included in the 'angry posts', nah, I'm not really angry. I meant it in a nice way!
  12. The point is not to sell it, it's free software. If you want such features, get photoshop. Also, am I correct in saying that 'we' represents a group of people you know who use PDN? I wasn't sure if you were Queen Victoria... As for 5) You can simply use the Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y buttons. Problem solved. 11) Go to the Layer tab - you can flip just the layer there. If you only want to flip a small portion, cut the bit you want to flip and paste it on a new layer. Flip that layer, and merge down. Also, a lot of things can be done by getting the various free plugins available for download here on the forums.
  13. ...nobody for Firefox? Bah. EDIT: Nvm, looked on the previous page. I kinda like the new UI.
  14. Thanks! Progress is continuing well on "Robot Game" also known as "Top-Down Turn-Based Dystopian Tactical Robot Battle". Still trying to think of an anagram though! Oh, and, wow, 100th post. Better think of something cool to say then...hmm...well, bet nobody saw this coming, We have two more members to Tachyon Entertainment! Jordan and Shaquin, on sound and code, respectively. This means we now have two people on code, and as the professional ratio is 2 coders to 1 artist (me ), I'd say we're getting closer to singularity...or something like that. Fact of the day: Did you know that there was a recalled science kit for kids which supplied actual Uranium with a miniature nuclear reactor?
  15. Hi guys! If any of you are interested, I'm going to be doing a question and answer session for Tachyon Entertainment. For this to occur, we'd need some questions. Feel free to post any questions about the art, design, code, business model, people and future plans for Tachyon. Sorry to start a new thread for this, but I think it's useful to have a clean thread for such things. Oh, you can also PM me any questions you have. (If, however, any mods that be decide that this doesn't deserve it's own thread, feel free to merge this with the main TE thread. ) Here's a robot for you to look at: Thanks!
  16. Wow, cc4, you got in at the last minute!
  17. Have ay of you tried the spam with bacon? I hate to say it, but it's actually really nice!
  18. Yikes...it sounds terrifying. I for one would not want to come face to face with hundreds of spammers. YER YER YER
  19. Well, good news. I got results back for the English paper I did. 'twas an Excellence. (Excellence is equivalent to an A).
  20. I like that a lot! I for one, love the colour green. It is a very creative colour, no? That's why I made this...thing.
  21. Haha, soccer. "How are Twilight and Soccer the same?" "They all run around for hours and nobody scores"
  22. Also, if you do still get jagged edges, I'd recommend the Feather Plugin. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/2140-feather-plugin-now-with-source/ For help on how to install the plugin, go here: http://boltbait.com/pdn/InstallingEffects.asp Use the plugin to smooth the edges. There may be something better you can do without the plugins, but I'm not sure.
  23. Like my new Avatar?
