  1. @Daniels and Seerose; thank you very much! @Helen; Another snowstorm's coming through here. Spring can't come faster! @Barbie and Welsh; Thanks for the advice. It means a lot coming from y'all.
  2. I believe the font is called Ironwood. It's not a default on Paint.net, but you can download it here.
  3. @welsh- Thanks so much It's a pleasure to be here. Though I feel that while variation can be a good thing, I lack a style. Since all my work looks so different (at least to my eye,) I feel like I need to find my niche so to speak. Maybe that comes with time? (And yes, I admit, I like pink...don't hate me too much.) @drydareelin- Nice to meet you! Ditto what I said about variation. BTW, I love your sig. @barbieq- Thanks for the suggestion! I'll be sure to try it out! @helen- Thank you for the encouragement! Ah...that banner. I think I'm secretly longing for spring. @pixey-

  5. Welsh, I love it! The sky is fabulous; I love the colors you used. Very ominous indeed.
  6. @chimay- Thanks for the feedback! I feel like a texture in the background would ruin part of the springy feel of the sig. Like barbieq said, the flowers were supposed to look like tissue paper. If I were to do a ruffled tissue paper texture, the text would appear out of place. That's just my opinion. @barbieq- Haha, you're certainly right in saying that there's no pleasing everyone. To each his own
  7. Good job to everyone who entered! Some beautiful entries to say the least! Ella, I love your glossy flowers; very impressive! @chimay, HELEN, welshblue, and barbieq: Thanks to all of you who commented! It means the world. Y'all are so kind! Chimay, I'm interested to hear any critiques you have on my entry. Good idea.
  8. I believe the "Grand" was written in Zapfino Extra One like xod said, and "A Adventure" was written in Wayfinding Sans Regular. Hope this helped somewhat.
  9. Have fun! Phantom's one of my favorites.
  10. Nice job with the background on the second one. I like the idea of using the shiny squares
  11. You never know; I actually really like yours! It's very intricate and definitely unique. You're a very talented designer! (Btw; I like your new sig! Very neat how the hexagons show through and add some color)
  12. Agreed; this could be a close one...
  13. Thanks very much to both of you! Very encouraging comments. Thank you; what an encouraging compliment. I look forward to improving!
  14. They're intended to help create visual interest and tie together some of the color scheme. Whether they accomplished that or not is up to anyone who sees it Your entry is cool too! The letters are awesome.
  15. Wow, thanks, welshblue! Being new and all, it means a lot to me. It was a quite a process, but I'm still amused at how top heavy those flowers look whenever I see them. BTW, your work is amazing. I love the realism in your gallery. Good job to all the participants! Great entries!
  16. Congratulations to all the award winners! I've only been a member here for a couple weeks, but I feel welcomed already; a testament that shows what a wonderful group of people y'all are. Thanks for pulling this site together; I'm looking forward to a great year! Again, congrats to award winners! Keep up the amazing work!
  17. Thanks to all who commented! Love the creativity, Skullbonz @welshblue; Glad you like it! Thanks for the rep And thanks for the sig compliment as well. Kudos to MadJik (if I remember correctly) for the hexagon grid! @RedOchre; Thank you so much! I love the concept of using Rotate/Zoom on something like this. I'd never thought of it before. It's so simple but gives it so much depth.
  18. @welshblue- Your image is simply beautiful; it's so serene My natural inclination was to make a dark, dreary, rainy night, but I decided to try something different and attempt to create a less moody picture (or at least a little less moody...)
  19. @EER; Thanks so much! I'm honored that you took the time to reply. Glad you like it Glad to join the forum!
  20. @pdnnoob--thanks for the tutorial! It was a great help and inspiration for me. Here's my interpretation of the tutorial; I hope it meets all the rules and such. This is my first attempt at a somewhat vintage map, but I was aiming for something unique. Thanks
