Thank-you for mentioning about using "overwrite" as it worked with the paint bucket in ver 3.5.11. I had tried to do this with the paint bucket before without success but I never thought to select the overwrite mode.

Hi I would like to suggest that the Fill Tool also be allowed to fill with a transparent colour (i.e. the same result as erasing). It would make it quite simple to remove a colour by making it transparent. Erasing can be tedious but using the fill tool with the thresholds would be very quick to convert the colour to transparent thereby effectively erasing it.. Thanks, Simon
