v3.5.10 Installation Error (Yes I've searched already!)

Had same problem when trying to update to v. 3.5.11: Error message and Paint now 'gone'. Turned off McAfee 'firewall' and 'real-time scanning', downloaded new Paint install zip, installed it. All is fine.
