Updated to G'MIC version 2.6.6.
I had originally planned to wait until after Pant.NET 4.2 was released so I could use the new clipboard code, but I can always make that change when releasing a later version.
Oh, okay. Do what you feel is best.

gmic has been updated to version 2.6.6. The pre release is 2.6.7. Check the gmic site often for updates. The site is: https://gmic.eu/

The paint.net plugin has not been updated to 2.6.2 yet.
Oh, okay. Do you know when that will be? I ask because on the gmic site, the gmic plugins for Krita and Gimp have been updated to 2.6.2 and paint.net is listed as having an update.
-
I have Gmic loaded to paint.net, except it is the previous version 2.6.1.
2.6.2 is not loading for some reason and paint.net just updated to version 4.1.7. I have placed the gmic.dll and the gmic folder in the Effects PDN folder. I am using Windows 10 64Bit.

What happened when you tried to use it? Do you have any incompatibility to report?
I tried it out and I don't receive any errors.

It works in 4.0.21
I'd rephrase this by saying it does what one needs, and more
I will take this a bit further and ask, does this plugin work with the current version of PDN which is 4.1.6?
-
Does this plugin work for PDN 4.0+ ?

It is included in the downloads linked to in the first post of this thread.
Thanks. The updated version is now 2.5.3 in case you're wondering.

Where is the updated version of gmic?

I tried the suggested tut as well and came up with this
Your result came out so much better than mine.

Here's my attempt at the laptop:
It's not the best but I tried. I used Welshblue's smartphone tutorial for the top, then I used Welblue's metal button tutorial for the webcam button, and the laptop tutorial from the site.

Thanks for the heads up. 😃
I subscribed to the G'MIC-Qt release notifications on GitHub.
I will also open an issue on GitHub to see if the G'MIC-Qt maintainers want to integrate the Paint.NET host code.
You're welcome!

Just a heads up, I use GIMP as well as PDN, and G'MIC is updated quite often, so be prepared to have the updated versions handy with PDN and its updated versions.

Hi @mackenzieh here is a Photoshop tutorial which should be easy enough to do in paint.net:
https://www.sitepoint.com/create-sleek-stylish-laptop-and-monitor-mockups-in-photoshop/
At Step 8 you could use this tutorial for the circle.
And, for the metal around the edge, you would have to make a frame and perhaps use bevel and then Metalize.
Thanks @Pixey! Will try it out.

I was wondering if there was a tutorial on how to create a laptop in PDN. I have looked everywhere.. youtube, here, random google searches, other PDN boards and I have come up empty. I'm just curious to know what a laptop could look like in PDN.
Thanks,
Mackenzie

Hi @mackenzieh
PDB = Program debug database
Helps the developer if there are any crashes.
Place it in the same Effects folder.
Happy Painting and Merry Christmas
Thank you, @AndrewDavid. I did place the file in the effects folder. Happy painting and Merry Christmas to you too.

What is the pdb file and where does it go?
-
I found the category.

If you want to have just a rounded rectangles tool in older versions of Paint.net you can use @toe_head2001's Roundedrec.
Edit: You can also find the code for a version by @xod that allows control over each rounded corner.
Thanks Eli.
