  1. OMG! Look who I bumped into... @BoltBait and @toe_head2001! I was driving half way across the country and stopped in Salt Lake City, Utah for the night. We met up for lunch (and a nice chat about CodeLab) before I headed out toward California.

  3. I'm releasing version 2.0 of Vanishing Trails. It has two enhancements. First, I expanded the range of fade profiles from 0 to 1 to -1 to 2. This isn't just dialing it up to 11 -- 0 is still linear, and 1 is still exponential; the values below 0 and above 1 produce profiles that fade slower initially than linear, and faster initially than exponential. Second, I added a Trail Transparency Adjustment to increase the trail transparency. Previously, when the object copies were very closely spaced, the trail was almost opaque, even with maximum fading. The new control allows the transparency to be

  4. This is not going to be simple to recreate. You'll learn plenty by starting with some blue squares on a transparent background then use @Red ochre's Cuboids plugin with settings similar to this.... Create a background layer and give it a linear gradient from blue to dark blue. The gradient should go from one corner to the opposite corner. I made the boxes 'pop' by setting the blend mode of the box layer to Color Dodge....

  5. As short as the time was, yes, I enjoyed spending time with my daughter and my grand-kids. We enjoy playing board games. We played Patchwork and Rivals for Catan which is a 2 player card game based on the Settlers game. It was just as fun (frustrating, ha!) as the original. Me with my daughter, @lizzy_1_year:

  8. I don't see the point in most of your posts... But, you don't see me complaining.

  9. This is a filetype plugin for loading SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) and its compressed variant SVGZ files. SVG elements can be rendered as a flat image file or each on a separate layer. The plugin is a tiny wrapper around the SVG.NET Library which does the actual SVG reading. Disclaimer: I merged all required third party libraries into a single file so everyone can easily install, remove and update it when needed. Because of this merging, the binary form of the plugin contains code from the Fizzler project ( LGPL - GNU LESSER GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE ) which

  13. OK, this is terrible, and I don't expect any votes, but I had an interesting idea... I'm sure one of you could execute this idea better, but here it is... What was my idea? Well... The signature changes based on the theme chosen by the user. If you view the message board using the Default theme, the signature looks different if you switch to the "Goodnight nurse" theme. (For those that don't know, you can change your theme using the drop-down list at the bottom of every page.)

  15. My most recent creation...A wooden rowing machine. Seat is mounted on some repurposed skateboard trucks. A cycle computer provides some basic feedback about time, distance & speed. Ratchet & seat return are powered by 10mm bungy cord. Yep - I even turned the pulleys & the handle. Surprisingly, it works even better than I expected! Except for the noise. Yeah, it's a bit noisy. I might reduce the teeth height on the ratchet to see if that quietens it.
