  1. We are trialling some new reactions to posts. The set has been increased with the addition of Thanks (left), Haha, You're a Smart Cookie! ( toe_head2001 ) and Hugs ( Ego Eram Reputo ). We felt these would give the forum some more positive vibes - so go spread the love!

  2. The total is 7 reactions per day. That total is collective for all reactions, so 7 means 7. I believe it is a rolling 24 hours based on the time of your oldest reaction in the last 24 hour period. Sorry, you can only give one reaction per post. If you try to choose a second reaction, your first one will be undone. Each of these reactions awards 1 reputation point, so reacting with all 6 reactions would award 6 reputation points.

  3. The problem with those files is that the header specifies an invalid number of mipmaps. Re-saving them in Paint.NET 3.5.11 with Generate Mipmaps checked should fix that issue. The reason that Paint.NET 3.5.11 can open those files is that the old DDS plugin only reads the first image, DirectXTex reads every image in the file.

Install into Paint.NET 3. Load Paint.NET and go into Effect->Render. 4. See how parameters work and change them until your desired result comes. - Parameters - Points - Amount of times a point will be calculated per subpixels Density - The size of subpixel. 6. Yes, that's certainly possible, I'd just need to add a button in the toolbar to switch between premultiplied alpha (new) and straight alpha (old).

  9. Also, you should report this bug to Avast. We've been seeing a lot of folks having trouble with it lately. They need to fix it on their end.

  12. You can also try putting Paint.NET in Avast’s white list.

  13. The permanent fix is to get rid of Avast. Just use the built-in Windows Defender. We weren't planning to close the thread, it'll still be here for you.

  15. You'll have to ask the folks at Norton; no one here would know the answer.
