The theme this week is – "Gold Text" Chosen by ( @Pixey SOTW #221 winner) This week you're challenged to design and create a signature that contains 'Gold Text’. Examples can be viewed here, here and here. The deadline for entries is 2:00 pm (EST) 7:00 pm (UK time) on Saturday, June 27th, 2020. To see how that equates to other countries, here is a link to the World Time Competition Rules Max dimensions are 500 x 200. Please NOTE: The forum limits signatures to 500 x 150, if it is too large do not try to use it as your regular signature. Please keep your signature family-friendly. Please keep to the theme that has been set. You may modify or replace your image until the deadline! Don’t violate copyright laws with found images; links to source images would be courteous. Your entry must be made using Paint.net; please don't use an outside image editor and try passing it off as PDN work. There are three entries per entrant allowed. Don’t add links to larger versions of your signature. Your entry should be voted on based on the size laid out in rule #1. Please keep larger versions of your work for your gallery. Signatures may be either horizontal or vertical. The winner of the current SOTW gets to choose the subject for the next competition. Good luck all and thank you in advance for entering. Thanks to - chrisco97, Sozo, TheHowler, Nitenurse79, Chimay, DrewDale & Pixey for keeping this comp going in the past. Previous comps have included the following topics as listed Here compiled by MJW. This list will perhaps assist future winners with a theme. This thread is for posting your entries only. If you want to talk about any of the entries, you can do so in the discussion thread found here.

Alrighty! RE: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/116364-math-support-latex/ Here's the second draft: <removed> Installation: Unzip the file Copy both DLL files to.... Classic: your \Effects\ folder. Store: /My Documents/ paint.net App Files/Effects/ 3. Restart paint.net 4. find the plugin in Effects > Text Formations Notes: I tried and failed to bundle the two DLL's into one Renders in Black - not the Primary color. Remainder of the layer will be made transparent

Putting all of the files in \filetypes\ seems to have worked fine. Thanks for the replies!

Another idea. 1. Create a layer behind your text. 2. Use the Cloud effect with the secondary color transparent. 3. Use a large brush to erase unwanted parts of the cloud. 4. Apply noise.

Alrighty. This build should have fixed the high DPI issues and I've added some theme-love to make the error messages more readable too. I tested it at 100%, 125%, 150% & 175% font size. If anyone wants to go higher - please let me know if it continues to scale well. Download Installation: Unzip the file Copy both DLL files to.... Classic: your \Effects\ folder. Store: /My Documents/ paint.net App Files/Effects/ 3. Restart paint.net 4. find the plugin in Effects > Text Formations

The Plugin Index states the incorrect placement of DLLs in a number of places (I followed the plugin author's instructions). I've flagged this issue to be corrected in the next release.

Do not put files into the "root" installation folder. That is the wrong way to do things. Those instructions are wrong.
  18. 1 point
Forget what the instructions say, just place all four files in the FileTypes folder.

    1) Needs some Dark Theme lovin' https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/112962-guide-dark-theme-support-for-custom-effectconfigdialog/ 2) The 'X' needs to capitalized. LaTeX 3) You're still generating the image in the UI class. It's usually better to do that kind of thing in OnSetRenderInfo()
