Content aware filling replaces the contents of the selection with pixels that are the closest match in the areas outside the selection. This allows parts of an image to be removed and blended with the background. This plugin is based on the GIMP Resynthesizer plugin. Some icons are from or based on those in the Fugue icon set by Yusuke Kamiyamane. Compatibility: 3.5.11 and 4.0.x Menu location: Effects > Selection > Content Aware Fill Download: ContentAwareFill.zip Source Code: https://github.com/0xC0000054/pdn-content-aware-fill

OT note - I have been dragged away and distracted by work and other life stuff .. Genesis is basically ready to release though, I'll get it ready to go and record a bunch of How To videos to get people going with it as soon as I can. (Thank you for your efforts in that area, @Pixey !)

The child element of SimpleGeometryShape can be any Geometry-derived class. You aren't restricted to PathGeometry or GroupGeometry. For instance, you could have it be just an EllipseGeometry. Although at that point, just use the built-in ellipse/circle shape

Noise removal is the best for my observation. I set it down to radius at 10 and .20 to .50 You can also use a selection circle and hit that area with a wee bit of blur. It has helped me quite a few times doing this. You can circle select copy/paste to a layer above add blur and then adjust layer properties to blend it.

Tried Effects >Noise > Remove Noise? Here are some other options: Remove Dust or Color Inpainting or Fill Gaps best option Selection Obscure

This tutorial will do what you are looking for, though it isn't quite the "one click solution" you want. With a few run-throughs, though, you will find it really isn't as complicated as it first appears.

A secret trick is that the Adobe PDF reader can read .AI files. Just change the extension from .AI to .PDF, and open it in Acrobat Reader. You can take a screenshot and drop it in PdN. Or you can open it in Inkscape, if they have a plugin for .AI.
