This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download it Plugins Required: Shape3D Drop Shadow For this we’ll be using these two images: Start with a blank canvas 1200x1200 px. With the Wood image right in the center. Use Shape 3D on it with these settings to get the basic wooden shape. Next import the Metal Rings and put them in the center also. Duplicate the Metal Rings layer and put one layer on top of the Wood for the front side and one layer below the Wood for the back side. Next use Shape 3D on the top layer of Metal Rings to get the front side. TIP! The settings are the same as previously used except for the Horizontal Radius. After that use Shape 3D on the bottom layer of Metal Rings to get the back side. It’s not much but it looks odd without the back side. TIP! The settings are the same as previously used except for the Object Rotation on Axis 1 & 2. After that take the Rectangle Select tool and select the bottom half of the top layer Metal Rings. Use Drop Shadow on it with these settings. Next put the Rectangle Select tool around the top half of the same layer. Now use Drop Shadow again at these settings. Now deselect the image and flatten and you’re finished! Not many people will use this tut and there’s not much you can use it for but I thought it was kind of interesting. I discovered it by accident. Thanks to EER for some much needed advice! Wooden Barrel Shape3D settings.zip

People come from around the world to hike there, but it's one of those things I certainly take for granted. Really should appreciate it a lot more. Thanks for the rep' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Someone has asked for a t-shirt design with antique brass font ... still unsure which one I prefer ? Any thoughts folks ? Easy when it's for yourself, but not so for others

Hello there, I'm David Tschumperlé, the main developer of G'MIC. First, I'd like to thanks @null54 for taking the time to port our G'MIC-Qt plug-in for Paint.Net. Second, I've read all your messages and indeed noticed that the 'Stylize' filter was painfully slow on Windows. We have investigated this issue these last days with people at pixls.us, and hopefully we should have found what was going on. We were using too much mutex locks/unlocks in the multi-threaded algorithm, which was slowing down everything. I'm working hard right now to fix this issue. I hope I will be able to post a pre-release tomorrow (Friday) with the fixes included. If you have any questions related to G'MIC, I'd be happy to answer (depending on the amount of free time I have ). Cheers. EDIT: The G'MIC-Qt plug-in is a product of the GREYC Laboratory, mainly done by Sébastien Fourey and myself, with the help of many contributors.

I made these light bulbs in blender, then made the animation in PDN. I'm very happy with the bulb details in the outcome.

This tutorial is available as a PDF. Click here to view or download the PDF Here is an alternate way to create a realistic leather texture. Adapted from one of the many PS tutorials out there. We will be making the 'base' texture and adding color to it. Plugins needed: NomBot's Tesserae Built-in Clouds plugin Red's Gradients Galore Null54's G'mic-Qt An example I quickly made to demonstrate the texture: Enjoy this alternate way of making leather textures!

As requested here: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/112938--/ Dimensions Effects > Render > Dimensions Description Render dimension arrows on your canvas. This will NOT measure anything and will NOT convert pixel length to another unit of length. Until I add this to my plugin pack, download here: Download Save to your desktop, unzip files to your desktop and run the installer batch file. Source Code: (This was a quick hack, mostly cobbled together from other plugins, and the code is ugly. You have been warned.) Versions: 1.2 7/1/2018 Fixed a bug where it would clear the canvas when OK was clicked. 1.1 7/1/2018 Text surrounded by transparency instead of white. 1.0 6/30/2018 Initial Release.

Version 1.1 posted. This plugin had been using the MathNet.Iridium library for the Complex struct. However, the Complex struct was added to the .NET Framework some time after @PJayTycy initially created this plugin. I have therefore removed the dependency of the MathNet.Iridium.dll file. After you've updated the plugin, you can delete that file from your Effect folder.

@LionsDragon and @Seerose ... many thank you's ladies. And to those who rep'd it again. Those who continue to support me here are very much appreciated and help to keep the juices flowing It's going on the back burner for a while as I work on doing the whole Halo series of weaponry ... some are proving easier than others ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Something totally different now. After one of my t-shirt designs hit the 500 sale point, I thought I'd stop being so lazy and design something else. I went for an ink smudge technique that I must admit is a lot easier to achieve in PS but am more than happy with how the PDN versions turned out Not sure if they're lacking some sort of caption or not ? Or something ?

Thought I'd share this as it was so amazing. I awoke yesterday to find a beached whale. I called the Mote Aquarium, which is very close, and they gave instructions and said they'd get here asap. Sadly I had to leave for a pre scheduled PET scan, and could not stay to watch. But, a guy from our building managed to film the whole thing and I put it together. The Pygmy Killer whale Melon-Headed Whale is doing well today, has been named Bolt and is swimming on its own and has been reunited with 2 other whales, which they think is from the same pod. They were rescued on August the 30th, but are in critical condition. No one is sure, yet, if this is due to the horrible Red Tide we are suffering with at the moment.

Update! First time I'm posting an update here haha. I bring a performance enhancement to the Plugin Index by pre-loading the data into the page with Jekyll so that there is no need to fetch the data after page load. You should see the plugins on the page now without any delay!

Sorry it took me so long to try this @welshblue I got waylaid by cross-stitching. 🤣 Excellent tutorial. Here's my take on it: Lampshade pattern is my own made with @toe_head2001 's Tartan plugin. I re-purposed your lamp texture for my table. The lamp is 'on'.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsforbusiness/end-of-windows-7-support This means no more updates, especially security updates. This will put it in the same place as XP and Vista, which nobody should be using anymore. I don't yet have a concrete plan for when Paint.NET will stop supporting Windows 7, which is when Windows 10 will become the minimum OS version*, but the clock is ticking. Maybe 1 year after, maybe 2 or even 3, it's not set in stone yet, but I'm not going to be able to support Windows 7 indefinitely. Please upgrade to Windows 10. I know a lot of you really like Windows 7, and that's a perfectly fine opinion, but supporting it does hold back Paint.NET's long-term progression and you have to know I can't support it indefinitely. Windows 7 has had a great run! It's currently 10 years old! Celebrate that, and then upgrade to 10 You've got time, so don't panic, but definitely include this in your planning. * let's just forget Windows 8/8.1 ever happened, just like we never say the word "Vista" out loud ...

@ScrapbookWithPDN, many thanks for the kind words. We have good news to share, as we have been able to fix the various performance issues we got for years on Windows. I'll release a new stable version 2.4.4 of G'MIC tomorrow. Hope you'll notice the improvements with the "Stylize filter" !

It will be glorious. Perfect in EVERY way. Beautiful to behold. Grown men will weep at the honesty and truth of the thing. Blessed will be the masses who witness it. I know because I made it. So you can all REJOICE!! Actually, @HCGS has made a number of excellent suggestions, improvements and modifications to my original code. As a result I have banned him forever As a result I have enlisted his help to make the website even better. It is now quite possible that reading the new website will cause the blind to see and the lame to be made whole again. ?

@fveitsi Please make sure you have downloaded this animation Plugin by Midora found below. Please read his instructions carefully, as they go into Effects and File Type folders. https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/31629-animated-images/ Also ...... be aware that there may be copyright infringements when downloading other peoples' work. Here is how you import the banana into PDN. Have a background image saved already before you start in a folder on your desktop.
