Ed Harvey Effects Archive

Ed Harvey

Recommended Posts

Some of the effects in the Ed Harvey Effects package have been incorporated in Paint.NET. However, in some instances the built-in versions have a simpler interface or less features. In these cases the original effects will be archived here for anyone who really needs those features...

Fragment

EdHarvey-Effects-Archive-Fragment-20080412.zip

The built-in version has a simpler interface, but is functionally the same.

Polar Inversion Plus

EdHarvey-Effects-Archive-PolarInversionPlus.zip

Some of the Plus features have been incorporated into the standard Polar Inversion. However, the original effect has additional options in the 'Edge Behavior' list (primary color, secondary color, transparent, original)

Dents 'Classic'

EdHarvey-Effects-Archives-DentsClassic.zip

The original version of Dents. This version has a more complex UI than the one built into paint.net, and adds Stretch and Edge Behaviour options

Dither

EdHarvey-Effects-Archives-Dither-20100508.zip

Ordered, Floyd-Steinberg and Atkinson Dithers.

Warning: Floyd-Steinberg and Atkinson dithers do not play 'nice' with irregular selections

Textile Texture

EdHarvey-Effects-Archives-TextileTexture-20100709.zip

Edit 2010-05-05: Added Dents Classic

Edit 2010-05-08: Added Dithers

Edit 2010-07-09: Added Textile Texture

They're already included in 3.31.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

can you put the ed harvey effects in paint.net v3.31?

If not then how do you download the other version?

And, it doesn't matter what the version is.

You will always (as far as i know. ) be able to put anyone's plugin's in Paint.NET

Not true. Some plugins are only compatible with certain versions of Paint.NET.

well I tried to put them in,but it said it didn't recognize them, even though I put them in effects.

You say "it said it didn't recognize them..."

Can you be a little more precise - What exactly did it say?

Added Dents 'Classic'....

Do these work on their own or do you need a common .dll?

Dents is definitely a 'stand-alone' effect.

Not so sure about the others (they were built a long time ago), but I think they are also 'stand-alone'...

Rats, I actually wanted to grab classic dents as well ... Looking for stretch option and whatever finer control it may offer. Looks like some more link lost in the shuffle.

When you get a moment Mr Harvey, could you repoint the archive effects links.? Much appreciated as always.

The links in this thread are all dead, other than the one for EdHarvey Effects 3.5 with the 30+ effects. I don't think the others mentioned separately are in the full pack.

Any chance at getting the other plug-ins to work again?

By the way the error I get when I click on them is basically a 404 Error. When I click on the links I get taken to my search engine with a list of sites that mention EdHarvey or Effects or Paint.Net ~~ with a notice at the top that says the requested site cannot be found.

Appreciate any help finding these effects.
