Chris N.
Hello, I'm sorry if this was asked before (couldn't find it). Anyways, The Paintbrush tool with transparency looks like in the picture below: Is it better to (always) look like in the red circle? I wonder if it can be changed because I think it will be much easier for me to color my sketches. Thanks for your time. and Merry Christmas to you -Chris. david.atwell
My work proxy-blocks, so I can't see your image, but the eraser works as a transparent brush; also, setting alpha to 0 and blend mode to overwrite ( :OverwriteBlending: ). Does this help? Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Blooper
I've had the same problem, never really bothered me though. David, he's talking about semi-transparent brushes acting weird. t2suggas
Use the paintbrush on a seperate layer, then change the transparency in the layer property box.
Chris N.
Use the paintbrush on a seperate layer, then change the transparency in the layer property box. That wouldn't help. As I said, I want to color my sketches (by hand, that's why I use the Paintbrush). I thought about what you said but the point is, I still need to see the lines in the picture to color it correctly. Does that make sense? Sorry, I'm not a native-speaker
david.atwell
I see now (I'm home :-)). t2suggas' suggestion will work. You can also try using the Transparency Adjustment plugin - it will change the transparency of whatever is selected. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... Wither
I thought about what you said but the point is, I still need to see the lines in the picture to color it correctly. Does that make sense? Ok. Reverse his suggestion. Drop the opacity of the new layer first then color it in.
