How to use recolor

Hi,

Could someone please guide me in the right direction? I'd like to change all the black in an image to red. I think the recolor should do it, but I don't know how.

Thanks!

Mike

You'll want to set your primary colour to red and your secondary colour to black. Then select the recolor tool and paint over the area you want to change (like it was a paintbrush). It helps to set the brush size very big if you're going to do the whole picture.

You could also use Shift + the Magic Wand to select all the black (within tolerance) in the image and cover it with a filled rectangle, or use the "Conditional Hue/Saturation" plugin.

If you want to tint the entire image, look at the "Color Tint" plugin or the "Color Filter" plugin. Or even "Curves+"!

There ya go. Too many options. :-)

You have a good point...I didn't even think about it. I was thinking in general...but you're right, I don't think black likes CH/S.
