Crash adding a color to the custom swatches

Recommended Posts

I just downloaded the latest alpha build, and Paint.net crashes every time I try to add a color to the custom swatches. The swatch control changes to a white box with a red X, and the below exception is generated in the desktop file. I just upgraded from an earlier alpha release.

Application version: Paint.NET v3.0 (Alpha 3 Release build 3.0.2500.35765)

Time of crash: 11/12/2006 8:10:57 PM

Application uptime: 00:05:21.8125000

OS Version: 5.2.3790.65536 Service Pack 1 Server x86

.NET Framework version: 2.0.50727.42 x86

Processor: 2x AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+

Physical memory: 2047 MB

Locale: pdnr.c: en-US, hklm: en-US, hkcu: en-US, cc: en-US, cuic: en-US

Exception details:

System.InvalidOperationException: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.

I believe I've already fixed this for the next release. But, I do have a question for you: has your system been 'up' for several weeks now? (i.e. you haven't restarted, shutdown, etc)

Ok then you're running into exactly what I thought would happen. Rebooting will fix this for you in the short term. (in the long term the next release will fix the issue entirely)

Nah, text layers have never had a concrete schedule. It's always been something of a "yeah it'll be awesome ... someday ... when we have the infrastructure in place." And with every release, "someday" comes closer.
