Damien74
Hi. I am new to this application. I wanted to use paint.net with Animated Image to convert some gif animations to png animations and in the process reduce the file size of them as well. I downloaded the files and unpacked into "effects" folder but I can't find anything in paint.net. Opening a gif animation only results in a flat image. How can I get this to work? Simon Brown
There are both Effects and FileTypes folders in my plugin pack. Make sure you put the animated image DLL from the FileTypes folder in the Paint.NET FileTypes folder. Rename the animated GIF to have the extension AGIF. Also, if you want to reduce the file size of the resulting animation, I suggest running it through this utility.
gregors
OK I put the Effects and File Types files in the right places, Still I find nothing in the Paint.NET user interface that lets me turn a bunch of files I have renamed to .apng into an animation. How does this work? is there a tutorial that coves THIS plugin? Quote /GregorS
mountnman
http://forums.getpai...-with-paintnet/ this one doesnt use the agif , it uses another free program called unfreez.. unless im making a animated.png i use it http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/15442-creating-an-animated-waving-flag/ Edited September 12, 2011 by mountnman Quote SARCASM- Just one of the many services I offer free to the public. david.atwell
Quick note- not every web browser supports the animated PNG protocol. If you're planning to use this on a website, make sure the site is still usable even without the APNG. Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

If you're planning to use this on a website, make sure the site is still usable even without the APNG. There's also a script that can allow PNGs to animate in browsers with canvas support. The link to the utility has been suspended. Thanks. I've edited the post to link directly to the project and emailed the admin of the APNG site.
