midora Posted April 26, 2011 Share Posted April 26, 2011 Quite often I have to use a selection rectangle of a fixed size to copy a part of an image (i.e. DIN A4 or Letter). So I'm proposing to add something like 'Fixed Layout' or 'Fixed Shape' to the popup which contains in the moment (Normal, Fixed Ratio, and Fixed Size). Selecting 'Fixed Layout' should show an additional popup which allows to select from a set of predefined layouts. The popup may also contain an item 'Add current selection' which allows to take over the current selection with a new layout name. An additional button after the popup may allow to switch between 'Portrait' and 'Landscape'. The resulting pixel size of the selected layout should respect the dpi setting of the image.
