Glass Text with Filling

This is the first tutorial I've tried, and it gives a good insight into some of the features in PDN, and has given me ideas.

1st Try.

2nd Try with attempt to fill with flame effect (not quite there, but nearly).

Yes, it can be a bit confusing.

1. In the Layers window, click on the layer that contains your text (Layer 3 in the tutorial). Select the area around the text with the Magic Wand tool :MagicWandTool: and the Flood Mode set to Global  :FloodModeGlobal:  

2. In the Layers window, click on the layer that contains the "liquid" (Layer 4 in the tutorial). Press the "Delete" button on your keyboard.

Hello,

 

Thanks for the cool tutorial.

I thought it worked really  well with a pic of beer as the liquid block

Top one I'm using for my new web page, bottom  one has same background

color as the webpage banner the logo is posted on.

Didn't manage to get it quite the same but this is my 1st attempt and I have only just started to use paint.net.  What d'ya think?
