making a color see through

Does any one know how to make objects in sketchup see though with color thats been imported from sketch up. I make objects and things for a three D world named Kaneva. I make it in google sketch up and would like to make some see through floors and objects,even windows I would like to make.But how do I make it see through.Please help. PS most of the people are using Gimp with paint shop. I love using paint and would like to continue using paint with sketchup.

Two methods, you could try cutting it and pasting on a separate layer then adjusting layer opacity in its settings. Method 2, if it is a single color, is to select More >> on the Colors window, then adjusting the alpha on the bottom slider. And welcome to the forums.

Using Paint.NET instead of Photoshop since 2006.
