sunnydays
I use the program mostly to design headers, banners, and buttons for my sites. What I've noticed is that when I create the graphic and save it, all looks great. But when I upload it to a site and view it live, it looks very grainy- like a low-quality image. Is there a particular setting or something that I should use to make the images view more crisp when I use them?

sunnydays
No. I've been saving mostly as gif. Is png better than gif or jpeg?
csm725
Much much better, especially for web. Curmudgeon
by default .gif images can only contain a maximum of 256 colors, so they are a poor choice if you want to maintain a crisp, detailed image...already mentioned is saving as .png type which is a lossless image type which preserves transparency as well, and is a much better option. Rick Brewster
GIF usually has very low quality and should only be used in specific situations.
