bkworkman
I am trying to flatten a jpg. image/ our logo to fit on a template website. The fatten function is not highlighted or the crop function. Not a computer wiz. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this. Thanks, Kim
Superferd
ctr+shift+f  or when you save the image as .jpg it will ask you if you want to flatten it. For more info press F1 or go here help topics. Quote WOW! i think i have a new avatar and sig every day! The above post may contain: junk, art, wrong spelling and a lot more! bkworkman
Maybe I should ask how to stretch my image horizontally. The flatten option is not working.
Sarkut
If you want to make the image smaller by cropping out a portion, use RectangleSelectTool and Crop to Selection. :Crop: . To squash down the image, rectangle select around it, choose , then engage the top center node of your selection and move it down. This will make the image flatter, but will distort its aspect ratio. To stretch horizontally, engage a side-center node and pull sideways. Edited April 8, 2010 by Sarkut
Superferd
to stretch: select something and then click M and then move the nubs. What exactly is not working? you could also try merging a layer onto another(ctrl+m). EDIT:aah sarkut beat me to it. Quote WOW! i think i have a new avatar and sig every day! Rick Brewster
Flattening in Paint.NET and Photoshop takes a multilayer image and reduces it to a "normal" single layer image, which can then be saved in any format (JPG, PNG, etc.). It has nothing to do with the image's dimensions or content.
