Concrete Texture tutorial

put the concrete layer above a white layer,

make the concrete layer Xor mode,

and then play with opacity and you can get a pretty good snow texture.

I am making hd versions of random old game textures and this is what I got using this (original on left, hd on right)

after adding clouds I added noise and then crystalize

How about sorting out the problems with your first two plugins before taking on another project?

if you select lasso select the part of a more light grey area of the image and use stamp tool to spread it out you get this:

I wrote a plugin called HSV Scarmpler that I think is useful for recoloring things like that in a natural-looking way. If Value is used as the source for Hue and Saturation, the color will vary with the brightness, rather than just remain constant. Usually the Hue Scale should be fairly low, so the hue doesn't change too much, but enough to give it some variety.

Hmm.. I didn't use Hue/Saturation.. i used Color Filter by Ed Harvey, ill try out yours.

Color Filter does a fine job of recoloring images, but it produces a constant color. I think having the color vary a little sometimes results in a more interesting and natural appearance.
