Transparent Background

Recommended Posts

I am doing a PowerPoint slide to which I want to add a annimated object. I have imported the object into Paint.net, but I am unable to selct the object and move it to a layer with a transparent background. Any help would be appreciated. As it is now, when I animate the object, the background (a white rectangle) hides the object over which it travels on its animation path.

Thanks,

Chet

Try this: Select the area you want to be transparent with the magic wand tool, then pres DEL to delete it. What you will be left with is a transparent area where your selection was. Repeat this as necessary, then save the image as either a PNG or a GIF. If you're saving it as a GIF, make sure you're using 2.2 Alpha1.
