Hi first time using a paint.net tutorial, like this planet one very informative i understand layers more now thank you.

I did a planet and aring typ planet using polar effect (excuse the planetary pun :) )

Cool tut, I tried to use shape3d with it too but haven't managed the same effect yet.

You can create the same effect as mud by creating a layer, rendering clouds, duplicating it, setting the top layer to XOR and using bulge +100 and -200 to create the depth of a planet.

I did use dried mud shaped onto a 3d object.

This is my outcome, I used the same mud picture just made a glow blending layer and colored it green and added the glow effect 2 more times.

Mine is super wierd.Well I did use different mud... This is VERY helpful.But next time: INCLUDE MORE TEXTURES! I'm just saying that I would appreciate more texture examples.
