497 posts in this topic

 I do not have that cloud effetct.... I got another one, thats explains why i didnt make it...

I only got this: http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2105

I reinstalled paint.net than the effect came

In Paint.NET go to "Help" > "check for updates"

A new clouds plugin will be added.

Instead of reinstalling :)

I checked for updates, but it wasnt any...

Anyway it took me less than 10 min to do it...

I couldn't help but start my own fire. Next, I used the original wartime Germany poster to create an image like this:

waffenss.png

http://xs.to/xs.php?h=xs510&d=06514&f=waffenss.png

And here's the poster I've used:

poster1_small.jpg

I cropped some parts, pasted into new layer, blended etc., as usual.

(Please note that this is NOT nazi propaganda - it's art for art's sake only).

Working with Paint.NET is a very enjoyable experience. Thank you & Merry Christmas! :)

In 2.72, that option is under the File menu.

This isn't related to the tutorial -- pick this up in PM if necessary.

Please get back on topic.

In 2.72 I believe the Look for Updates option was under the File menu (in a sub-menu, don't remember what it was called).

yeah, i got a queston, when you press the button for cloud effects, you get a different option button than me. I get this one cloudsdf6.png . and its quite different than mine. Mine gives me a different design of clouds, plus when i press Ctrl+F or add clouds to the smae layer, the old oens go away and then the new ones take over. here are screen shots cloudsgo0.png thats before i press Ctrl+f, and this is what i get after cloudsgo0.png . and when i try to add clouds of a different setting, i get this cloudsja2.png i think it just erases the clouds from before and adds new ones, and no matter what value i put, it nvr comes to look like Tom Jackson's picture from step 7
