Plugin or tips to cut pictures like this?

Hi, i have hundred of stone textures like this and I need to remove the backgroud (like the second one).

Do you know any tip or plugin to do this? I'm doing it with the magic wand but in almost all does not work.

In images like the second one it should work pretty easily. The first one ist more tricky, but not really impossible.

Maybe the best way is to manually paint the gaps between the bricks in a new, transparent layer with a color, then select this color by magic wand, switch back to the original background image and hit DEL.

Of course that isn't done in a few seconds. For any good editing you have to spend time.

 

Maybe some work with AA's Assistant or Tweak Transparency V2 is a good idea. Don't forget to save it as PNG.

Have you thought of this

Create a sizable grid on a layer above the bricks for a quick and dirty removal of backgrounds. Yes the bricks have to be relatively the same size - but it is a little faster.
