Strange thing is that the part where my cursor is hovering above isn't distorted. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it didn't fix it. Rick Brewster Posted May 21, 2017 Share Posted May 21, 2017 I've seen this before. You probably have some kind of special antialiasing mode enabled in your graphics driver's control panel. Sometimes this is fun for games, but since desktop apps are using things like Direct3D now (and Paint.NET does via Direct2D), it often affects them too. So you can turn that off in your graphics driver control panel, or you can disable hardware acceleration in paint.net from its Settings dialog.
