Paint.NET 4.0.16 installation failed

Recommended Posts

I am using the graphics program paint.net Vs. on my PC with Win10x64 created (VS. 1703). 4.0.15. The update to the current version 4.0.16 failed with the error message

"The function you want to use is on a network resource that is not available

Click OK to re-arrange, or type an alternate path to a folder with the "PaintDotNet_x64_341014327.msi" package in the box below "

File is not found, installation is canceled automatically.

The file PaintDotNet_x64_341014327.msi is actually nowhere to be found on my PC, not even in the installation package of the Vs. 4.0.16.

In the specified folder c: \ Program Files \ paint.net \ Staging, there are several files "PaintDotNet_x64 _...... msi, but not those with the required number.

The NET.Framewort 4.6.1 required for paint.NET is installed on my PC.

During the installation, the old version of paint.NET is uninstalled, when the new installation is aborted with Vs. 4.0.16, however, fortunately restored.

Does anyone know how I update the paint.net on Vs. 4.0.16 can realize?

Your paint.net installation is broken. You can use this utility to remove the broken installation:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed

Afterwards, you can install paint.net anew.

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.
