PaulG Posted January 20, 2016 Share Posted January 20, 2016 Although paint.net is a useful editor, it appears that image files are now opening with paint.net by default, although I have never set this as a default program. Although I have tried to change this back, eventually paint net takes over as the default program. Also, I would like my PNG files to be described as PNG files, not as paint.net Images files. This problem never occurred under Windows 7. Could anyone tell me how to stop paint.net taking control of my image files. I'd be happy to do a registry hack.
